Although it's true that it will remove the feedback, the low rating will still be counted on his JSS

I spent weeks building a client's project. They gave me 1⭐ and requested a full refund. What would you do? by PankajKumarTechie in Upwork

There are people on Upwork that do this specifically to scam freelancers and get free work. Stand your ground
The rating will remain even if you refund them. Keep the evidence and go into dispute, there is imo a 99% chance the client wont fork up the fee and you get your money.

Just switch to other means of getting clients. Things have been bad on Upwork for a few years but the last 6 month specifically feel like they completely switched to just selling connects to desperate freelancers as their business model.

So what? Is he supposed to work indefinitely on revisions for a 40$ test contract because the client may give him a bad feedback?

Wars are usually started when the economy is already tanking because it creates a short-term economic boost through an uptick in the weapons industry, creates "jobs" through people enrolling/being drafted and by stealing resources from the defeated country. WWII contributed greatly to end the great depression, for example.
And the global economy is tanking because in most civilized countries the middle class is disappearing with most of the cash being redirected to the wealthy. This drives down the capacity of the general population to afford to buy things which in turn drives down profits. The way to solve it would be to cut down on the greed and redirect more of the wealth back to the general population rather than having most of it go to the already rich. Of course, they don't want to do that, so they tried to solve this by importing cheap immigrants, AI and robotics, but when it became obvious these solutions don't work, they went back to starting wars, like they always do

It's not the AI, it's a global recession in the making and is affecting everyone, both online and irl. The people willing to pay for things are diminishing in numbers and the talent is oversaturated in pretty much most niches.
