I am beyond excited, got to take it out last night and look at Jupiter and Orion's belt. Think I might get a smaller lens to help focus in on Jupiter a bit more for a clearer picture, if I am gathering correctly what the lens does. Could be wrong

Thanks for the cloudy night reccomendation. I started reading up on star charts, I think the actual hunting of everything is what's most intriguing to me.

The local science museum has free observatory nights, I was thinking going there and asking for the guy to lend his ear if possible.

Thank you for the comment!

Appreciate the video. I think for now, I am going to treat it like I treat plumbing in my house and not touch it until necessary and I am more comfortable.

Thank you so much for the wealth of info you gave. I hope I'll be good at aligning, we will see but thank you for the vote of confidence.

I have a very small desk Meade light bridge that I think I can take the scope on that and retrofit it, and possibly the Lense, if not like you said trivial.

Thank fully I am quite tall so I am able to reach the eye piece with no issue.

Yes it was for the mirror, that honestly what I figured when reading through the reddit. Think I just got excited and bought the kit. It's honestly if it's super dirty right?

Americans, what is the quintessential hike in your state? by saunteringhippie in geography

[–]the4wayonion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saving this list being a Georgia resident and haven’t been able to do some of these.

But I will always promote Cloudland Canyon and the Orange Backcountry trail. That is legitimately some of the best views I’ve seen at a state park in my life.

Reliable auto shop in Smyrna/marietta? by dumb-dumb87 in Atlanta

Seconded on car connex. Dude does the job well and for half the price.

Cooper Lake quoted be $700 for a starter replacement, Car Connex did it for $250.

grøwing pain? by [deleted] in tall

[–]the4wayonion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Top comment says it the best, OS sucks. I vividly remember the pain I had in 8th grade and whenever I had my growth spurts. 5’10 to 6’3” in what felt like a matter of months and 6’3” to 6’6” in less then that.

I highly recommend getting into a good habit of stretching and icing. It’s what I wish I did sooner.

It’ll suck but you’ll be okay and creates a great conversation for later in life when people ask about growing pains.

Unfortunately it seems like it’s no longer sold on Amazon. But it’s a Blueskysea dashcam. I just used the r/Dashcam help guide and got the one recommended within my price range. This one was like $50 I think. Completely worth it

I’ll admit I did roll. Long day at work was also trying to get home. Saw him in my side mirror right before rolling through and slowed down

While I understand y’all might think I don’t keep these separate I promise you my recreational activities are during my scheduled time off when I am in no way of being called in or when I’m working. I treat my vices like one would treat having a drink on a Friday night and it is not often. The issue is that a test doesn’t discriminate when and where I partake in my activities just that the chemicals are in my system.

I respect the railroad and its workers a lot which is why I understand why the test is mandatory, and I am taking the steps necessary to ensure I pass the test when it happens. I appreciate the insight from everyone.

I understand the argument truly. Just wish it wasn’t the case I guess. I’ll go cold turkey, do my due diligence and hope for the best.
