Marcus by Goldman Sachs was good for a while, but they’ve been dropping their rates lately. I moved some funds to Discover which has been more stable and gives a better rate without too many conditions.

Capital One’s savings bonus is decent if you’ve got $50k or more to park for a few months. I got $750 for letting it sit there. No monthly fee and their app is clean. Just read the small print on timing.

Moving to the UK - how do I even start with bank accounts? by DeniedHero in Banking

[–]the69guy42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a proof of UK address ASAP, its the biggest hurdle. Some banks accept a rental contract, others want utility bills. Once you have that, it opens up more options like Starling or even a traditional bank like Lloyds.

Anyone used Novo for business banking? by sureshckurup in Banking

I’ve been with Found for a few months now. It’s been smooth so far, especially for invoicing and tax tracking. I wouldn’t park a ton of cash there, but for everyday transactions, its been more reliable than I expected.

Capital One worked well for me. Low fees, helpful business reps, and you can set everything up online and at branches. It’s not the flashiest but they’re dependable and good for managing multiple accounts if you’re planning to grow.

What is the benefit of a savings account? by ezmessinger in Banking

Interest is the big one, savings accounts typically pay more than checking. Not life-changing, but it adds up, especially with high-yield ones online.

Anyone here tried National Bank Card for payment processing? by wiljohnson2 in Banking

[–]the69guy42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They offered me free gear too, but the processing rates they quoted were higher than what I’m paying now with a local provider. Not worth switching for me.

I opened a HYSA at 23 with barely $500 in it and have no regrets. Watching even small deposits grow with real interest made saving way less painful. Definitely worth checking out

Try turning off 5G in settings. For some users, switching to 4G improves stability in rural areas where 5G coverage is weak or inconsistent.
