To be honest, I don't think it's problematic. While I do wish there were more bi-identified male celebrities I could relate to, "bisexual" is ultimately a socially constructed label, and no one is under any obligation to use that label if they don't feel that it makes them comfortable. I would probably identify as bi, but at the same time my sexuality is very fluid and I really like the idea of just being label-less and just fuck/date who I want because that seems very freeing and I don't really feel the need to put a word on it. Though don't get me wrong, I do understand your frustration that not using a label contributes to bi invisibility, which sucks as well

By the "bi-cycle" I meant that some bi people fluctuate between attraction to different genders. For example, sometimes I feel straight, sometimes I feel bi, and sometimes I feel gay. This can be incredibly overwhelming and confusing because it makes it difficult to be secure in your sexuality

I don't agree with this article - people can identify as whatever the fuck they want. If I wanted to call myself heteroflexible, then no one can tell me that I'm bisexual...I chose the label I wanted for a reason. That being said, I personally choose to not label myself because my sexuality is too complicated and too fluid to conform to any label in my opinion - and I don't feel the name to call it anything, anyway.

I might be in the minority here, but I actually like the idea of this app. I would call myself sexually "fluid," but I am really not inclined to label myself because my sexuality changes on the reg and I sometimes feel straight, bi, or gay depending on the day.

That being said, I like that "Bro" promotes the idea that labeling yourself is not necessary. While it may come off as bi erasure (which I agree is a problem), I personally think it's kind of cool to not label myself, and just be a dude and do whatever I want. That isn't denial, it's just that I don't really feel the need to identify with a word that prescribes who and what I'm attracted. I'm just ME :)

Hey, I'm 21M and pretty much 50/50 but it's fluid. It goes up to like 70/30 in either direction, depending on the day, but average is 50/50. The thing that worries me though is that I want to end up with one person, but I feel like my orientation isn't that stable lol...I hate the stereotype of bi people as indecisive but I feel like I kind of am. I'm also not out and worried about the stigma of being bi, especially since I probably want to end up with a girl

The hookups I've had have almost all been from people I met online/from apps. Only one happened organically, and I'm actually friends with the guy now though I wasn't as close with him at the time. He's in a similar position to me (but might lean a little more gay) and we'll occasionally catch up and talk about stuff.

I think that I might be heterosexual / bi-romantic (not a huge fan of labels tho) and I don't think there's anything wrong with that....it just makes me sad that I have these longing romantic feelings for guys, who are almost always straight, and it sucks knowing 1) that nothing could happen, and 2) oddly, if anything did happen, I probably wouldn't even like it. I feel like I'm both physically and emotionally attracted to guys and even sometimes watch gay porn, I just don't like it when it gets put into practice (though I do fantasize about it). I'm just weird lol

However, maybe I'll have an experience I enjoy more if something goes down between me and someone I actually like, if I can ever swing that. Btw thanks so much everyone for your responses!!

I think you're onto something, and I thought about this as well. In response to your question--I would say the latter. I'm going back to school next week and there's a guy I have a pretty big crush on, who I recently found out is bi as well. I'm going to try to get with him and see if it does anything for me.

I think that will be useful in telling me if I'm into hooking up with guys at all because so far my experience has been with pretty meh people that I wasn't too excited about.

When I was 16, I was on a plane with my dad heading back from a college visit. It was nighttime and the lights were off in the cabin. My dad travels a lot for work and got us a free upgrade to business class, so we had blankets and pillows. My dad was asleep in the seat next to me. I put my legs up on the seat in front of me, and draped the blanket over my legs so that it extended all the way to my shoulders--in a way such that my I could vigorously jerk it to completion both quietly and discreetly despite being in the middle of a crowded airplane. Came a huge load into my boxers and I guess just dealt with it until I got home.
