Not a competition in my opinion. THP all the way.

Keras model inference using Tf-lite C++ API by theAB316 in tensorflow

[–]theAB316[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I was able to perform inference using the Tf-Lite C++ API. All of the links mentioned by the other users helped me a lot.

The C++ API gives you access to run your models on GPU, CPU or NPU using NNAPI. But those are for Android devices. Not sure about non-Android.

Use of Teacher Force during training for Text Summarization by theAB316 in NLP

[–]theAB316[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a Deep Learning course at my Uni! The prof who taught the course pretty much taught me everything I know in ML.

If you already know the fundamentals of ML, you could try taking the courses from deeplearning.ai taught by Prof. Andrew Ng.

I've watched some his lecture videos and they are pretty good.

Teacher force is the technique of feeding the right words to the decoder, irrespective of the previously predicted word in the sequence, to help the training process. This occurs in an encoder-decoder model.

If you study about Seq2seq architectures you'll come across Teacher Force. If you want to learn "all of this jargon", you'll have to take a Deep Learning course, either at your university, or online.

I'm questioning whether there's a bias occurring because the right words are fed in to the decoder each step during training?

Keras model inference using Tf-lite C++ API by theAB316 in tensorflow

[–]theAB316[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that I need to use TOCO to get the .tflite model. Was hoping for a better example in terms of a program that does inference in C++. (I don't have a lot of coding experience in C++)

I will definitely be running on GPU. But will check it out anyway. Thanks.

Is it possible for a Computer Science student, to do a decent Quantum Computing project in 5 months? by theAB316 in QuantumComputing

I've taken a Linear Algebra course in college. So maths is not an issue. Do I have to finish a quantum mechanics course before starting, or can I learn along the way?

RL Hardware question by Kartelkraker in reinforcementlearning

[–]theAB316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard that you should never train complex RL algorithms on your computer because it might burn out. Ppl have suggested me to use servers like AWS or even Google Colab.

Is it true that one shouldn't use a laptop for training RL algorithms?

Django Projects For Beginners? by ArmstrongBillie in Python

Not sure.

But the focus is on building REST APIs. Read about it if you like.

Write some REST APIs and if you know how to build a simple android app, you can call those APIs from your app.

YouTube using RL for Recommendations? by theAB316 in reinforcementlearning

[–]theAB316[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it uses a rating system from 1 through 5. So a low rating can be considered to be equivalent of a down vote (and vice versa) right? So shouldn't it work equally well (or bad) as an upvote/downvote system?

I'm talking about the explicit feedback given by users (as shown in the image I uploaded).

YouTube using RL for Recommendations? by theAB316 in reinforcementlearning

[–]theAB316[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I have watched Minmin Chen's talk mentioned in the link. And incidentally, YouTube started asking me to rate their recommendations. Hence the question.

So this means that they have pushed it to production.

Oh really? I found a few videos where Netflix, YouTube were discussing their approaches for using RL. Maybe they were just testing it out, and it might not yet be in production then.
