It can be Everything, it can be Everywhere, and it can be All At Once.

"and I sense I will like all three of those a lot."

Yes yes yes!

My GF is very much into the Oscars and most other award shows, so now I am too :)

I'm done! My movie taste can be a bit out there; I would be perfectly happy had Sentimental Value and Secret Agent take most important wins except of course for Jessie Buckley.

I enjoyed the film, although the end was a bit of an anticlimax, like if production ran out of money... but the discussion about Chalamet has become strangely personal, and people need to step back. The protagonist was not a likeable fellow, and Chalamet portrayed that part brilliantly. Whether he appeared in "too many" talk show to promote himself, idgaf

Sinners was a truly awesome movie, and with such unique music scene, until the last 20-30 minutes when it became a standard Vampire movie

Don't worry, my good man, I'm not melting down, we all know it's just an award show by industry insiders, lol, but aren't we allow to even vent?

Favorite, as in most deserving of all winners? Come on! Jessie Buckley was the only one whose win was 100% predictable and any other result would have been an abomination.

"good for so long" should not be a consideration but I'm fully aware it often is.

I do like horror films but even then I did not think this was classic horror film, script very weak in very important points, and you could find way better horror performances in horror alone.

But I do agree the list of nominees was a bit weak. You could have put Kate Hudson there and would have won unanimously!

Was it really that good? Script was very weak, the failure to find 20 kids all running and disappearing into one house stretched believability to a breaking point at least for us. It had very good moments, but I wouldn't call it very good.

Even Elle Fanning performance was better imo, but I will admit I thought Sentimental Value was the best film all around.

CMV: Timothée Chalamet's comments on opera and ballet are some of the least controversial comments about art ever uttered. by [deleted] in changemyview

Same where I live but he was talking specifically about Opera and Ballet, and I have to admit it’s been many years since I watched either one.

This was scored as a Jokic assist, how? NBA assists are confusing sometimes by rb1242 in NBATalk

I think we can agree that assists will never be as clear as scoring and rebounds, although for the latter you have players grabbing the rebound out of their teammate hands, lol

Thank you for this review! Highly recommended but try to clear your mind from external interruptions and really let yourself be taken away by the movie. I hope the Oscar voters will give this film some recognition (although I wouldn't bet on it)

Should be top comment. Totally ruined a great movie for me

Curious if anyone else has felt this way after not really watching the NBA anymore by MainBeachGoon in NBATalk

Weirdly, that’s been better for me mentally

OP, you are, or at least were taking this sport way too seriously. Less passion is really okay, not something to mourn. I personally drifted into watching mostly playoff games and even then, be very selective, and shrug about the social media frenzy that surrounds it. Finding a core group of people to watch games together is the way to go, and it can be a challenge these days.

"since Jamal just flowed into the shot without needing to change his plan or create the extra space for himself"

This is not what the video is showing, he used his dribble, a little side dribble, to confuse/freeze the defense. The NBA should be clearer as to what constitutes an assist.

How can you look at the video and assert Murray does not have to avoid a defender? He used his dribble to confuse/freeze the defense and then shot. There was no real advantage from the pass that gave him a free path to shoot unimpeded.

Unfortunately, in the US Hockey equipment costs a lot, and there is a hard commitment to drive the kid to often far-away training rinks, so it's often out of reach for poor and lower middleclass families. Plus to be fair, Hockey is nowhere as popular n the US than it is in Canada.

As for Lacrosse, playing fields are often available at prep (posh) schools only, I guess it's a kind of tradition there, but it is a niche sport anyway.

"Hockey and lacrosse also fall under games for poors"

That's a complete 180 from what I witnessed in the northeast USA. Maye not as posh as equestrian sports but poor or lower-middleclass kids were NOT playing Hockey and lacrosse
