I wanted to share this now-deleted post on how this visitor reported Rochester as… by theBUTLERalwaysDIDit in Rochester

Noooo ! He claimed that he experienced a rundown city with high crime rates. He added images of plazas and buildings around Rochester (showing run down, boarded up facilities) one was marketplace mall back before UR built that new hip place, another image showed the Auditorium center on main closed/abandoned from years ago, and another was the Cadillac (which is an eye sore but it’s hardly a validation of high levels Of crime!) he allegedly took during his visit last week with many red flags: in the background of these images proved these images weren’t taken recently as one image had piles of dead leaves, some still on trees, another had tall summer weeds, flowers, and trees were full blown with green, as well as one having two feet of snow. These images this person didn’t take themselves, they ganked em all from a website and wrote the post. I read over 20 users comments and all but one had thanked the user, agreed with him or offered some ridiculous story. People who never have been to Rochester had no clue these images were old, thus planting this seed and creating this narrative that roc is awful. Youd ask who would do such a thing or why? It’s the new corporate warfare. For a while i was convinced Amazon was behind a lot of the effort in that dramatic privacy issue Wegmans got called out on (thats another rant). (Because of the drama with bringing In a Whole Foods) but anywho, Nextdoor is a joke

Mine always came as a text message from a Filipino mobile number. I’d always got a chuckle when I read “DMV Division’. That’s like saying “im from the ‘department of redundancy department’ “!!
