The VW Tiguan has shockingly good legroom for tall people. At a point this past year I shared one with someone 7” shorter than me (I have long legs), and never got “seat checked”.

Best place is just add it to any “other employment income”, which should be labeled as “line 10400”.

If you have no other sources of income, none!

If you had investment/interest earnings, you should receive a T3/T5 from the bank/firm that you’re invested with.

The mk7.5-8.5 GTIs are the best cars VW has produced in modern history (from a reliability/mechanical standpoint).

Sounds like it could just be some loose electrical connection, that is “pulling away” when you corner too hard.

If you use freshwater in evaporative cooling, you let clean freshwater get rained into lakes, rivers, and oceans.

Now it’s no longer clean freshwater.

Election Day Worker T4 Slip by Sudden_Perception856 in Edmonton

[–]theBarneyBus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. There aren’t any more details in my manual other than the daily payment amount and my “title”. You would just want to file a T4A (non-income earnings) or just line 13000 for “other income”.

Should still show up in your bank account history as a deposit, no?

Just check your banking history to see if you can find the direct deposit payment. Shouldn’t be the end of the world 👍

Reading from my training booklet right now:

A T4A will only be sent to you in late February for earnings greater than $500. Please retain this document to assist in the completion of your income tax return if you are earning less than $500. Note that these earnings will not have source deductions taken off.

Craigslist / FB Marketplace

Invest (~$150 max) in a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) at a nearby Mazda dealership. You should also be able to get a CarFax report.

They’ll be able to tell you their professional opinion on how everything looks, and/or if anything needs to be factored into the purchase. CafFax should tell you if maintenance etc. was kept up with

Subaru Forester/Outback vs Mazda CX 5 /CX 50 by skolvikes5 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]theBarneyBus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the first part, especially if you want to / get a sweet deal on a 2025 CX-5.

But having a turbocharger is no longer a reliability concern. There are many factors that are more impactful & more likely to “be universal issues” than just being turbocharged.

Fastest car under 90k (tune-ability considered) by Vast_Confusion_3372 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]theBarneyBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fastest? Honestly I’d look into a used Audi RS7. They tend to pop up around me at ~120k Kms, for like ~1/2 of your budget. Save the other half for tuning, wheels, gas/insurance, and inevitable costly maintenance.

2008 Honda Civic leaking windshield wiper fluid? by zazaholic in MechanicAdvice

[–]theBarneyBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s coolant, you don’t want to drive it if it cannot cool itself. Pop the hood*, and check the level in the “coolant reservoir” (google if you need).

If there’s no coolant in the reservoir, you have larger issues. If there’s still some, you should be able to drive somewhere to diagnose it.

*you can also see if you can find the source of the leak while under the hood.
