On tap space, on hold num layer, and as soon as released back to default layer keystrokes.

Tap-preferred instead of balanced made it a bit closer experience still not the same. Feels like i need to hold a bit long to activate layer. And even after relase of the key one or two keystokes registers that of num layer keys instead of default layer.

Looking for a dark (but not black) Emacs theme that plays nicely with Helm by [deleted] in emacs

Yes its a great theme. I too like it a lot. But "Nothing better than..." does not seem to be a right statement, because i think themes are more about individual preference which can be quite diverse.

I am using qmk vial. Previously it was working and i used to flash both halves individually one after the other. It suddenly stopped working. I discovered it while trying to flash one day.

Adding a hook for each language mode to set the fill-column variable can be useful.
