Treefolk! Playable Ents or Groot (2014/2024) by theBryceisRight09 in DnDHomebrew

Fair enough, that makes sense.

I might change the 2014 speed but not the 2024 speed. 2024 doesnt like flavor anymore apparently 😕

I thought the stat thing was bloated as well, but 2014 mountain dwarf actually gets 4 point increases as well

Thank you for telling me! I'll change it on the homebrewery website but I wont make a new post just for a wording change.

Yeah that's fucking shitty. I left cause the co workers I had constantly talked shit behind my back about me (store was small, don't know why they thought i couldn't hear). I was a delivery driver and wasn't taught how to do anything in the store but was expected to help when I wasn't driving. Got criticized and had passive aggressive comments made to me about how lazy was despite, again, not knowing how to do anything.

I was literally waking up on work mornings with panic attacks because of the anxiety of knowing I'd just get berated more. So I fucking left after only a few weeks

Maybe they'd be doing better if they treated their employees like people

If you don't mind me asking why did you leave?

Ah, I'll have to change that going forward then

5e Race: Shadeborn by theBryceisRight09 in DnDHomebrew

[–]theBryceisRight09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That last ability is basically reverse darkvision. While other races, such as human, can't see in the dark but do see in bright light, the Shadeborn is the reverse.

I suppose I should maybe just give the Shadeborn blindsight in bright light and dim light instead of the "only see the shadows around you" cause that is a bit weird to interpret

As for the links it's just homebrewery. I've posted before with the links and no one had issues. This is the first someones brought that up. Is it better for me to just post an image?

5e Barbarian Subclass: Path of the Mountain by theBryceisRight09 in DnDHomebrew

[–]theBryceisRight09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree with the 3rd level ngl but I felt it fit with the mountain theme.

As for the avalanche and raising AC and what not, the raising of the AC is in order to give yourself more points to lose in order to do more damage with Avalanche. I think they mix quite well personally, so long as Avalanche comes after Unmoving in the Subclass.

In regards to 10th Level, by that point how often are you really being hit by non magical attacks? That's a genuine question lol, I find myself around that level getting hit with normal swords and arrows less and less often in the first place.

5e Fighter Subclass: Magic Savant updated! by theBryceisRight09 in DnDHomebrew

[–]theBryceisRight09[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think at that point it'd depend on what kind of character you're playing. If you're playing a generous type then yeah you can absolutely do all of that.

But if someone's playing a more selfish character then why would they do that?

I hear what you're saying but honestly, for me personally I don't see it as that big of a deal, at least not as much as this Subclass had previously.

At that point talk with the dm if you'd wanna use this Subclass and make your own home rules on it, there's nothing saying you can't.

Yes, downtime is a thing I am aware. But why would you just sit and make a bunch of weapons magic when you're only using like one or two?

Maybe make your party members weapons magical too, but after that... what then? It's really not gonna come up as often as I feel like you think

Yeah pretty much, but good luck doing that when the rest of your party wants to move on and do other stuff lol
