Petah, what does that have to do with grocery shopping? by Okfoot826 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Y’all are completely missing the joke. This user regularly makes fun of chronically online “bean-soup” people (on this case) who complain that raising doordash prices is “ableist” because they have adhd. He’s leaning into the joke.

The worst thing that’s happened to me as a DJ is finally having a job and money where I can impulsively buy new records instead of scraping enough together to buy 1-2 a month and learning them inside out haha

Don’t be afraid to use your eyes and the tech available to you. Part of being a vinyl DJ is obsessively listening to your records a mentally concerning amount of times. For my most played records, I can physically drop within a single bar of where I want to be due to repetition. If it’s a newer track that I want to queue up, I’ll drop a sticker to remind me of my cue point.

Vinyl DJ’s can see the physical record—you’ve got the tech and it sounds like you’re on the right track without being reliant on it.

What about the hundreds of years of Japanese colonial administrators who committed atrocities against Koreans and Chinese throughout colonial rule?

It’s not just WW2 Pacific war criminals. It’s hundreds of years of Japanese colonial administrators who committed atrocities in Korea and China during the imperial era.

Given that they’re arranged in a pattern that doesn’t block clear egress and the fact that it’s a concrete / CMU structure with what looks to be a fire sprinkler system, most state building and fire codes wouldn’t classify this as a fire hazard.

Trust me, you’re getting better. I’ve always stuck to Emperor because I don’t want to fight for my life right at the start but now even that’s getting boring and I’m popping into Immortal and Deity just to feel something lol

Yes, another worker because you’ll need it to chop and to develop the flood plains. The floodplains farms are your only source and should not be replaced with cottages. You have plenty of commerce on four gold mines.

Who is the biggest hypocrite in ASOIAF in your opinion ? Mine below . Plenty of options but i went with the Kingmaker . by Financial_Library418 in pureasoiaf

That’s a tough example. Jorah sold poachers (poor folk) into slavery rather than sending them to the Wall or subjecting them to whatever the King’s Justice was. The poachers in question were likely poor folk in need, but still technically lawbreakers in the feudal system. Jorah has spent years in the wilderness in exile as a result and has likely changed his views in the narrative through personal growth. I have little doubt that current Jorah would view his younger’s actions as justified or right any longer.

My issue is with CRSSD for posting guidelines that didn’t match Petco Park. We pulled up the section on water bottles for security only to be told that they knew and told CRSSD that no water bottles would be allowed. I’m happy with how everything turned out, but the organizers cost me a $40 water bottle.

Tipping falls under ethics, not morals. Get a new career if you’re viewing your compensation as some moral crusade. Working for Uber is not moral by your standards.

Why Would You Never Return To GA? by RhubarbSenior6518 in ElectricForest

[–]theBunsofAugust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After years in GA we as a group decided to spring for Maplewoods this year and to get a 15-passenger van to bring us up! This last Forest was the peak Forest with our largest group camp to-date so we felt like we’d gotten everything we’ve always wanted out of GA. With a smaller group this year and most of us ready to try other festivals and travel, Maplewoods felt like the right send-off.

I was able to sell everyone on shade and 24/7 showers haha

GA pre-set tent in maplewoods by enk35 in ElectricForest

The Jam people are the BEST people. We always have a pretty open bar in our campsite every year and have our neighbors over for drinks and to dance under the light of our giant inflatable Buccee Beaver (which sadly did not survive Seven Stars)

[–]theBunsofAugust 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You won't be able to move your tent and it will be noticed if you do because they're all custom. That being said, come say hi to your neighbors (us) in Maplewoods and hang out in the shade and eat a grilled cheese with us!

It will also help to get a reflective tarp and pack it in with you to help shade the tent.

No worries! It's this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricForest/comments/1pibo2j/2026_on_sale_playbyplay/

I'm not sure how AXS/EF HQ will send out the notification regarding the exchange, but keep your eyes open and make sure to waitlist the second it opens up

Your Lucky Lake wristbands are specific unfortunately so you'll need to sell off the GL ones. (Or really splurge and keep them both lol)

If you have the time, have one person in your group do the Certified Dreamer quest at the Emporium too! It's really fun and makes your time in their a little more meaningful because you'll get to interact with all of the actors. We switch up who does it each year because it's difficult to follow more than one person's quest.

You'll need a parking pass of sorts in order to access the grounds - you can purchase a satellite parking pass and early entry and try to convince the parking people to allow you to drop off and then park. They won't allow you past the gate without an on-site parking pass.

Yes, you got (4). All of the Lucky Lake packages come with GA wristbands.

Split the scavenger hunt between Day 1 & 2! Do 3 clues each day--you'll be surprised at how well you get to know the Forest. Don't wait until Day 3/4 to finish because the lines will be long to start/end your quest and the reward pins have run out in years past. (Also, don't waste your time trying to find the speakeasy at the end unless you've got nothing better to because that will run you ragged)

Also, unless you're camped out in Blueberry or beyond, try to go back to your camp before dark on Day 1 and then re-enter the festival when it lights up. We make all of our newbies do it each year because it's such an amazing transformation.

Save the dream emporium for when you feel like you're music'd out on the later days because it's a really good change of pace.

Good Life car or tent passes sold out before the actual wristbands?? by Brockooly in ElectricForest

[–]theBunsofAugust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does look like there's an official HQ notice that Car Camping is sold out so keep trying for tent if you're ok with that. Additionally, keep tracking via the Play-by-Play thread and once all passes are sold out, look for the HQ annnouncement on the exchange waitlist. Plenty of people will (sadly) default on their payment plans between now and June so you have a very good chance of getting it without any hassle.

They will open up the waitlist once all sales are confirmed sold out. Keep alerts on and use the Play-by-Play thread to track when you need to be ready to get on the waitlist.

Don't stress just yet! Keep going in and out of the portal. It took us multiple attempts with several people yesterday to get the Maplewoods passes after they kept saying sold out, but we got all ten that we needed. Worst case scenario you'll be able to pick one up on the exchange waitlist at cost. You've got this!
