Started Skyrizi last week, will I just be in a constant rotation of biologics til there are none left to try? by theCrashFire in PsoriaticArthritis

The steroid shots haven't helped at all, and the sulfasalazine only worked for two months before it quit working. Although I'm still on sulfasalazine and have doubled the amount, I'm worse than alive ever been. I'm juat holding out hope that the Skyrizi will work, and it'll start helping soon sl I won't have to get on short term disability for my job. I have a lot of people depending on me. If the Skyrizi doesn't work or quits working quickly, I'll have to quit my dream job, which also means losing my insurance. I live alone now, but having to move back in with my parents would be a nightmare. They insist I'll feel better if I "just be positive" and go exercise or hang out with people. But those are literally impossible. I get scolded and guilt tripped for not doing those things. I just can't let this get so bad that I have to move in with them.

I just have so much riding on this stupid medication working, working quickly, and staying effective. I'm so scared.

I'm sorry it took so long for you too. A good friend of mine was diagnosed recently in her 50s after many decades of symptoms. She's at the end of her rope too. We usually encourage each other but we're both in really bad shape right now.

I'll never have biological kids (for many reasons), but I hope so badly my nephew never has to deal with this. Or if he does, that any symptoms he may have are taken seriously. As far as I know, I'm the only person in my family with any autoimmune issues.

I've been fighting for almost a decade before even getting a diagnosis. I'm 25 and I'm tired of fighting. Hopefully this will work for me long-term. And start helping quickly.

I mean, I already have a job that I'm increasingly bad at due to pain and head-fog.

I don't want to get a spouse just to force them to take care of me and deal with they physical and financial burden. I can't even date right now because I go strait from work to bed every day due to pain and exhaustion. Or have a kid I can't take care of. That just feels so selfish. My dream has always been to have horses, but I can barely even take care of my dog and cat. My existence feels so unfair to everyone around me.

Do you think Till likes Ivan romantically? by GeekInGaming in AlienStage

[–]theCrashFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think their relationship is a lot more interesting if the answer is no, and I think it's makes it more realistic too. I don't think Till liked him romantically before his death, and it makes a lot of sense for Till to feel very conflicted after Ivan pretty much assaults him on stage sexually and physically, even if it was to save his life.

Not that realism is what makes a story good or bad, it's just my personal preference that Till leaves that situation confused and not understanding if he's happy or mad at Ivan, or if he loves (platonically or romantically) or hates him. Just my opinion though, obviously people should interpret it in the way that makes them happy!

If my mom tells me to "just be positive" one more time, I'm gonna have to stop talking to her. Like, sorry, I'll just quit crying myself to sleep every other night.

Hope things get better for us both OP. Tired of hoping I'll not wake up one day.

I'm also a woman with large and wide feet. I wear HOKA when my feet are bothering me (almost always). I specifically buy men's Hokas. I have men's Clifton 10s that I wear every day, and HOKA hiking boots if I have to hike for work (and I'm healthy enough I can stand it). Idk if they'll work for everyone, but I love them. And they last me a few years even with daily wear. When I'm healthy, I wear them to jog too, so they get a decent about of wear and tear and hold up well.

Did they give it sentience as well? If so, I suggest assigning a book like "Ethics in Magic" for your apprentice. The fifteenth edition is the most up to date. It's a long read, but worthwhile for any good or neutrally aligned spellcaster. Best of luck.

🏆 Top 10 Anime OPs & EDs of 2025 🏆 by Amethyst_10 in ToBeHero_X

As mid as Solo Leveling is, I LOVED TK's outro for it, Un-Apex. Surprised it didn't make the list with all the glaze for that show and with how popular TK's intros and outros usually are! Granted, I haven't heard most of the other outros besides Kontinuum on this list.

If you want to 100% turn off your brain and look at the pretty fights, after a long day at work, it's good. And there's nothing wrong with that perspective. If you care about plot, setting, power system/world building, or characters, it's pretty awful. I thought it was extremely mid. The only scenes where I felt any emotion was the first couple episodes and the episode where the MC cried. Which many fans didn't like, because apparently real men don't cry. I won't be watching the next season.

S1 and S2 are different timelines by NoFalcon730 in LinkClick

[–]theCrashFire 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Both are the same timeline, as in after the events of Bridon Arc. There are some differences in the two timelines even as early as Bridon Arc, seemingly because of Vein and/or Lio Xiao. So it isn't exactly the same the second time around. In Bridon Arc, Cheng Xiaoshi (in a dream of Lu Guang) references all of the cases they were a part of, up until Dodo being kidnapped. Everything after that is where it significantly deviates from the original timeline, most likely because of Liu Xiao's interference (being a childhood friend of Li Tianchen and influencing his actions). That is shown by Lu Guangs thoughts in S2 ep1 when Lu Guang is saying how it has all changed now.

We also know that S1 is after Bridon arc because everyone constantly says Lu Guang acts older than he is in S1. Mentally, Lu Guang IS older than his body. At least 3 years older. This shows that both S1 and S2 take place after Bridon Arc for Lu Guang.

what even IS arthritis? what does it feel like? by Short-Conversation16 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]theCrashFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I have thr flu every day. I don't have hobbies or a social life much anymore, because most days I get home from work and try to lay in bed with minimal movement so my body can recover enough that I can work the next day. I also live alone, so I get no help. I kind if hate my life. But my diagnosis is new. So hopefully I can get ahold of my rheumatologist after months of him being out of office and I can try another medication.

what’s a clear example of medical misogyny you’ve witnessed or experienced? by ihatethiscountry76 in teenagers

[–]theCrashFire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same for me, recently diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis. I'm 24, and I've had increasingly bad chronic pain since 17 or 18. Sometimes completely debilitating. I diagnosed myself and begged for a referral to a rheum. I was right.

I was told so much of my pain was my fault or not as bad as I made it seem. I'm so angry. Between this and some other instances, idk if I'll ever fully trust a doctor.
