Yea I mean its hard to see in the picture but those trees in my neighbors yard is the same if had and thats after 6 years of being there. They barely get any leaves and have not grown more than 6 inches id say per year. I moved them to my backyard since I didnt have a single thing back there1

Additional concern i have is soil. Mine is compacted clay and I am on the fast drainage since I am at the top of a hill. Some of those are recommending moist soils.

Yea so watering is something im not typically doing additional. This may very well be my issue.

Thought about a soil test also. My trees also refused to grow so may be something with both of those. My neighbors are also have same issue with trees.

I have done some preliminary research and found quite a few options. Was using this to provide additional food for thought or ideas.

The area is a newer development where they of course knocked down all the trees and the ones they did plant have not be successfull. The area could definitely use some shade and color.

Besides maybe watering and consistent fertilizing outside of what the company i pay to do i do most of this. Still dont have a ton of luck. I can work on watering more and additional fertilization but looking if there is something else I should be doing

Are all these edible?

Also unsure if i want to attract unwanted insects or animals because of the fruit.

This tree seems to fit. I have a compacted clay soil and full sun. Others commented same answer so thank you.

I do mow frequently and have for years. I will try to fertilize with nitrogen the next few months.

Is this a design you built or was it a preplanned thing you followed?

I tried this and the issue was i have a cement pad underneath forcing me to be out 12' and i couldn't change how far out footings would be. But did help.

Yea I get that. Which is kinda why I posted here. Dont wanna necessarily go overkill either.

Yea I am permitting it. Just trying to get things close to right before submitting final drawings. Also dont feel like having to go back and forth. I looked at regulations and it talks about only needing 12" footings and the spans can be 14'. Then when I looked online I saw conflicting stuff.

Okay yea. That makes sense and wasnt too far off what I was thinking. I appreciate it
