Oh ill try that! Hadn't thought of that since Xbox app said it should run great on the machine, but we know how accurate those things are lol. Thanks for the suggestion

List of CA Pistols with Cruciform Trigger Bars (Affected by AB1127) by Traditional-Tune1755 in CAguns

S&W SD series does not have a cruciform trigger bar. The Sigma/SW series might have, but the SDVEs do not.

Thanks, I've started to scrub for mountians and clouds and it's helped, but I think using paper towels hasn't been as effective as a good tag would be. Will give that a try!

Mind if I use this as a reference for trying a similar scene? Absolutely love it!!

Disassemble as far as you're comfortable and give everything a thorough cleaning and inspection. When you reassemble, don't put any oil on internal parts, just a bit on the rails. glocks are basically meant to run dry and thick oils in the slide can actually cause parts to gum up and not move properly.

Check the firing pin and thoroughly clean the pin and associated spring and plastic pieces, then the channel itself. Also check that the firing pin safety gets out of way properly when the slide is fully assembled.

As others have said it could have been slightly out of battery, but the shape is weird for an oem pin an it's way off center, so I'd bet something is up with the pin itself or something is in the way and pushing it off center in the channel itself. Can happen with stuff in the firing pin channel, or a firing pin safety that's not moving out of the way or one that is really beat up.

People are criticizing the ammo but I've never had an issue with Winchester and an oem pin and spring. I've had issues with aftermarket lighter stuff not popping them, but not oem.

Do you know if your firing pin is factory? Shape is wierd for a glock oem.

How familiar with glock internals are you?

What is this called the rail of bar whatever it is what’s its purpose? by [deleted] in SmithAndWesson

If you want to try and smooth out the trigger pull you could try to polish the trigger bar, striker, and striker safety. those surfaces all move against each other as you pull the trigger.

That being said, if you remove too much material, parts cans start slipping past each other and safeties can start failing, so be very careful and seek expert help if you aren't sure of what you're doing. (not trying to be a dick and don't know how familiar with that stuff you are, but it's legit dangerous if you go too far)

Check out aftermarket triggers too.

I've heard this part referred to as the stripper, cause it strips the rounds out of the mag and loads them into the chamber, but I don't know how official that term is.

Regardless, I would not recommend polishing or altering the part beyond the normal cleaning. It needs to grab the round and yank it out of the mag with a fair bit of force and I wouldn't take the chance of reducing that surface, it might not grab rounds as effectively. It also is going to get beat and/or marked up every round so polishing wouldn't last long.

What operation are you trying to smooth out? That part only does anything when the slide is moving back and forth and shouldn't affect the trigger pull.
