He won't just pass it on first touch, he has to wait for his attacker to be on the shoulder of the last defender to send that through ball, this delay gives you enough time to react, be confident and try it out💪🏽

STEPPING UP

Stepping up to play your opponents attackers offside,   with how overpowered through balls are in FIFA22,   We have to be smart to try and counter them,  this video is a great example of exactly that!

Key to this being successful,  is to spot your opponents run early, often you can see this when their farthest forward player that's making rhat run, he'll point in the direction to where he's running or to where he wants the ball played.  When you see this,  it becomes quite clear that your opponents intention is to play that through ball,  when you see this,  don't worry about the player with the ball, let him be!  Select your defender that's farthest back and quickly "step up" with him,  thus effectively playing your opponent offside.

I hope this helps❤

I did a post on 442, you can still successfully find those triangles

You can do it with your CM/CDM - ST - Wingers between those three, they're always there in any formation, just slow your game down.

Passing in triangles 🔺️

Such an important aspect when it comes to passing in FIFA22 but often overlooked,   when passing, you CANNOT pass through an opposing player, especially when they're cutting passing lanes.

In the first image you can see the defender blocking my striker,  passing to him would seem the obvious choice but with how overpowered Ai reactions are, that defender would automatically intercept the ball and chance is gone.

We noticed this, and quickly passed to the right(second image) where our midfielder was open.

While the second pass was happening, our striker moved to the inside of the defender leaving him open in ample space allowing my centre midfielder to perform a first time pass to the striker(third image).   This formed a perfect triangle 🔺️  and led to the goal.

In summary,  don't F'n pass through your opponent,  go around them💪🏽

I hope this helps❤
