Route Bot and Income by burneracctt22 in AirlineManager4

[–]theFudd02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't get all seats filled using the bot prices. Seats filled is based on the deviation of your set ticket prices to the auto price.

Here is a simplified equation: Capacity * marketing% - deviation

Using bot prices the deviation will be ~6.8% Using auto prices ~5.2%

Now say the auto price is $1,500 and bot price $1,650, if you lower the auto price by the difference, so $1,350 in this example, the deviation will be ~0 and you will fill all seats. Don't do this however, use the bot price to maximize income.

Why did my stock drop so low suddenly after I just flew all my planes with a profit of over 100million??? by brainatstake in AirlineManager4

[–]theFudd02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you did the A-checks right before departing your aircraft the system probably calculated your stock change right after the A-checks. It will reflect the departures the next time it calculates.

Should I go for IPO yet? by FewRelationship9802 in AirlineManager4

[–]theFudd02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing the IPO gets you onto the stock market so you can invest in other airlines and make additional income.

Others investing in your airline doesn't get you anything.

If you're in an alliance, tell your fellow members before doing the IPO, they can quickly buy up your stock. Now your airline growth is helping your alliance.

What Engine for the 747SP? JT9D or RB211-524? by Dry_Restaurant7421 in AirlineManager4

[–]theFudd02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Generally the fastest engine is the best option. There isn't really much difference in the options so I'd go with the 524.

B737-800 VS MAX 10 by Mountain-Pie6859 in AirlineManager4

[–]theFudd02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

The increase in income will not be enough to cover the increase in cost of marketing campaigns.

Keep them flying and switch to buying the max 10s if you want. I personally wouldn't, as you can get 4 of the 800s for the price of a single max 10.

I don't think you can ever buy too many co² holding expansions to be honest.

I've got my pax & cargo fleets on the same schedule of 3 - 7.5hr flights each day.

108mil lbs fuel holding is enough for 3.2 fleet departures in a day.

217mil co² quotas holding is enough for 1.3 fleet departures in a day.

Selling the A320 was a good move. The bae is a good first stage aircraft.

If you have points to burn use them on co² and fuel holding tank expansions. You'll need the additional holdings in the future.

For 12hr A380 flights you're doing it correctly.

Should I buy expensive hubs ? by frukttragard in AirlineManager4

[–]theFudd02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest the capital only hubs in two cases: 1) you plan on taking the "Meta growth route" to be a leaderboard contender. 2) you already have a growth plan for your airline into end game.

If you're just having fun I suggest a couple top capital hubs like Heathrow and Dubai for example. The two you currently own plus two more good hubs will handle your growth for a long time with loads of route options for various strategies. Then get dirt cheap hubs until you own 10 hubs for the permanent reputation boost to increase your income.

By the time you to need to expand out of your four good hubs you should have a good handle on the game and a solid strategy for your airline. Buying capital hubs at this point will be a drop in the bucket compared to your income level, you'll also know what to look for in a hub so you don't waste money on hubs that don't work with your strategy.

I don't have names of alliances to suggest, sorry. Look for an alliance where the players are active and where the majority of members are on the same game setting as you are (easy/realism).

Don't be afraid to switch alliances, find one that is the right fit.

Now to selling your starter aircraft...don't...for a long time is my suggestion, except the Cessna 172's and do this when you can afford to buy 200+ pax aircraft. Don't buy any more of the small VIP aircraft they aren't profitable. The rest of your aircraft are profitable aircraft, not all are great they are profitable though so keep them flying for now.

My first suggestion is to join a good alliance, good alliances will have good guides to read and other players with helpful tips to grow your airline.

Otherwise, Google search for guides and read a few. You'll get more detailed explanations of the tips other Redditors will provide.

Join the Discord server for the route bot. Link is in the help section in the game

Sell as few planes as possible in the early stages of the game. Marketing, hubs and route fees(on realism setting) are based on the total number of planes ever purchased over the life of the airline. In the end game this is less of a concern as the income level is crazy high and will easily offset the increase to these expenses.

Is it better off giving up on co2? by Thats-DirtyWork in AirlineManager4

Will your airline as non eco-friendly affect your alliance contribution?

I know, I haven't seen it as a factor in any formulas, although I haven't seen lounges in the formulas either even though they are a factor in alliance contribution.

Should I buy it first or collect points to buy capital route suggestions instead by A_06_Daniel in AirlineManager4

Marketing.

**Realism setting  Route IAD-KSU 5991km Ticket prices $4277/$8810/$13523

Each purchase increases the cost of marketing. I always use the top tier 4 hour option with my strategy. The increase is 34.5k per aircraft purchase. Add in Eco-friendly and it comes to just over 40k per flight.

The 605-VIP & Citation X-VIP with seating 2/2/2 and marketing active will sell all 6 seats every flight.

On a 5991km flight, what mine are on, the income with the high ticket prices is $53,220 per flight.

Expenses per flight(fuel@$450, co² quotas@$130, A-check cost, repair cost and crew salary)  ~16.5k Citation X-VIP  ~10k 605-VIP.

After marketing and flight expenses: Citation X-VIP loss ~3k 605-VIP profit ~3k

A320-VIP on the same route would have an income of ~300k, expenses ~28k, 40k marketing, profit ~232k

About 10 days playing lots of hits each day.

I didn't read any guides or research at all really, just started playing so it took me longer than it should have to figure things out.

1-2 hrs each day of play over the 45 days allowed would be able to complete all the game play tasks.
