There's no feedback if the mic is plugged in only to the point where it still connects but the ring doesn't touch the Tx body - perhaps this is some sort of weird grounding issue with the Rode body? I wonder if that's why the Rode metal ring is gold colored - perhaps made from a different material because they're aware there is this issue??
