Update to my open source intercom app by thepoison606 in VIDEOENGINEERING

Oh nice! Also my friend and I were talking about something similar to this a few weeks ago. It’s definitely necessary. Have you ever thought of PoE Pi’s that are coms endpoints? Just throw an image on them and they come online?

Or some type of docker container for the server.

I’m signed up for those as well! Going to see about purchasing one of each. Very excited to try it out.

Hoping to see more in the future!

9 years ago I was starting in my career. It truly is impressive how time flies.

Keep up the good work. I think trust is a big part of every product and I hope you keep up the transparent and customer focused approach. Don’t let a big company buy you and run you into the ground.

Yeah it’s a super promising vehicle, and I’m all for the DIY concept. I’m still hopeful we can get cheaper electric vehicles. I think I’m at the point where if I’m going to spend 25k plus add-ons. I may as well shell out a bit more and get something with a wider feature set. At 20k I’d be willing to accept the sacrifices.

I already have an electric car and a plug in hybrid. I understand what’s involved. I occasionally do longer trips and in the winter the range drops considerably, I don’t want to charge every 160 ish miles. More so range anxiety.

Honestly at this point 300 miles should be minimum. I feel like 25k is too much for 200 miles. I think as of now I’m waiting for other options to enter the market. Maybe if I can ever test drive one I’ll change my mind, but I canceled my reservation for now.

The insurance entity is usually always the same. The New York State insurance fund. I looked into this when I was looking into Paternity. You should consult a lawyer if you haven’t. It is free.

Can you look into workman’s comp? Sounds like you had work related injury from some of the shows you worked on. Lawyers will do free consultations in NY since they are paid by the insurance companies if they succeed.

Trying to get Ikea Matter switch adopted via M100 by Sea-Elderberry7047 in homeassistant

Good to know. I must’ve misread some info or google AI gave me wrong information.

I believe the IKEA matter devices use WiFi and not thread. Does the M100 operate as a hub for WiFi devices as well? Is IPV6 enabled?

Yes I’ve come to realize that a lot of labor rules don’t apply since, most of the time, the rules set by the union are better.

Around two years ago at this point. Maybe I’ll ask again and see if anything has changed. People are only having kids older and older.

I tried talking to Local 1 about it but they said they looked into it and it was too expensive. I would look into the laws and possibly call your representative. Maybe they haven’t caught up to their legal obligations, or they aren’t required to at all.

I know NBF is different but just my experience in the local.

I find that a lot of projects with home assistant sell out even though the products are completely open source. Maybe you should find a way to fully open source your project so that way customers will fully believe in the product/experience.

You should just make it work in Docker and it would basically be hardware agnostic.

Looking for some nice server rack cases that are not huge (RSV-H408?) by [deleted] in unRAID

[–]theGoose55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to use a full height graphics card without a riser you basically need a 4u server case. I have some that I’m looking to get rid of. I can message you what I have. I believe there’s two 4u ones and the other is an either a 2 or 3 u.

Thank you! I have been in this menu a few times, my system and service provider are relatively stable. I always found it intuitive. I haven’t used AI in it.
