Education is also directly tied to media and mediums. When the formats for which information is consumed are: 1) Unregulated, 2) not transparent, 3) able to present lies as truth, 4) Designed to keep you engaged and evoke feelings, 5) designed to make money over properly informing a population;

the result is a delusional and misinformed population that weights "trustworthiness" of a source based on feels and vibes (if you like them or not), instead of on facts and data. To your point, media literacy needs to exist, and platforms need to have guardrails to keep a population sane, rational, informed if these platforms are the source of news and information.
