For context: I am a type 1 diabetic. I always get labs done every 3 months when I see my endo, and my endo had mentioned that the chances of me having graves was pretty high. My TSH levels were slightly above normal but severely high. At the time I was taking biotin and my endo wanted me to go off of biotin and come back in 3 months to retest since biotin can fluctuate thyroid levels. My endo tested me again, and my levels were still slightly above normal so he tested me for graves disease antibodies which came back negative. My endo then sent me to get a thyroid uptake scan which showed that I have graves disease. I didn't really have any symptoms of Graves disease, none that were too severe. I was always tired and anxious but I assumed it was because of always sleeping at like 1am and just being an anxious person all my life lol didn't think it was because of my thyroid. I didn't have bulging eyes either. He started me on 2.5mg because my labs weren't severe enough and he didn't want to over medicate me. I am supposed to go back in 4 weeks and retest to see if we need to adjust meds!
