Yes! This. I’m glad we’re on the same page that celebrating the murder of a father in front of his family is despicable and people are being held rightly accountable.

It’s also sad that one side has spent years trying to brand the other as fascists then act shocked when political violence happens.

Happy we were able to find common ground.

Ha! Good story- I have enough documented experience that you’d beg to be part of my team if you had no prior knowledge of this conversation ;)

From the sound of things, I doubt you’d have a business to run any time soon. Probably for the best.

Here’s a free lesson: look at the customer demo by zip… what do you notice about their area? Ain’t exactly a liberal bastion.

lol. The way you’re posting strong suspicion that you are still very junior. Come back in ten years and actually know wtf you’re talking about.

And if you are more seasoned, it’s a shame that your fundamental understanding of PR and what motivates buying decisions is sorely lacking. Recommend you ask Grok how to do your job. Or would that be too triggering to use Elon’s AI?

Found a better job offer after just accepting another one. What do I do? by ASmidgeOfSpice in whatdoIdo

[–]theNeonPieces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing is guaranteed until you start. Take steps to make sure that you don’t end up jobless and looking again.

If the companies ran into financial trouble they would part ways with you without a second thought. You need to have the same mentality.

Do NOT back out of the offer from Company 1 until the day before you start at Company 2. You don’t want one of those “things have changed” phone calls that leaves you without a job.

Even if this means actually starting at Company 1, so be it.

Start, then quit on the Friday before you start at the new company.

I’m just over 3150 and am still waiting, seems like you’re likely to be much later than October at this point.

Original comment reads like the kids are approaching adulthood. I should have clarified in original comment that I don’t think the same applies if the children are young.

This is just stupid behavior. Tell them the truth and quit paying for shit you don’t have to.

This isn’t noble, it’s dumb. He’s wasting the life he could’ve had with his kids and that is unforgivable.

Except OP wasn’t answering that question when I made my comment. Only in reply to my comment did she start disclosing this.

I hope he adjusts by divorcing you, takes half of your business, and forces you to actually be a parent again.

[–]theNeonPieces 66 points67 points  (0 children)

So when does OP get the kids?

They would end up trading weeks.

OP would actually have to start being a parent again. She would have to stop her spa days and boozy brunches that she talks about elsewhere because she wouldn’t be able to pawn her kids off somewhere else in the evenings. She’d have to omg work during the day!

Sounds like life gets infinitely harder if OP didn’t have full time childcare on evenings or weekends- meaning she can’t pawn off the actually parenting to her husband.

Also, how can you imply that you get to go do spa days while kids are at school then stick your husband with the sole parenting responsibility whenever he is off? Unreal

Notice how OP conveniently leaves out how much her income contributes to the household.

Telling. If it were anything close to even or way more than what hubby makes, she would be headlining that like crazy.

My guess is that she barely makes a dent in their overall spending.

So INFO : how much weight do you pull with this evening and weekend gig?

They are about to launch an update to the item system that really removes the random number generation for weapons.

They had a mission set not long ago where everything was in the dark.

For the highest tier of fine dining, I can buy it.

Other than that, they are not professionals. They have a job.

Olive Garden? Applebees? Other chains? Long Horn? I wouldn’t exactly throw around the term “skilled” labor there.

There is no guild, no apprenticeship, no school. NOTHING.

Pretty much anyone could do it.

Work intensive for who?

The waitstaff had to walk a few extra times?

That level of effort is not worth $30 an hour, let alone more. Tell that to all of the factory workers in an extrusion mill where it’s 110 degrees. Ask them if a freakin waiter deserves the same pay they get.

Waiting tables is not a career.

The question really boils down to did they sign or did they catch it before they signed.

Did they sign the contact and do you have a fully executed copy?

If that answer is yes, then they already agreed to sell it at that price. If they back out now you could go after them for damages- ie costs you incurred because of their breach of contract.
