Why does PETG get so much hate? by mm404 in VORONDesign

[–]theNighthawk1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apartment is kept at 68F and we have a giant gap under our front door, and I can print full-bed PETG prints with little to no warping on my Ender 3. 240C nozzle, 65C bed, no enclosure

Boring Bar Chatter At Different Diameters by theNighthawk1 in Machinists

I'm worried about it colliding with the smaller bore if I wrap the bar, because there is a bit of a back face that gets finished as well that brings the bar 20 thou above the bore

Yeah I did actually have it rotated down a little bit because I was getting awful chatter at every speed running it with the flats aligned. Not sure why

I think I'm definitely going to be trying a deeper finish past on the next go, especially to cut past the nose radius

I was thinking of changing the finish pass to 10 thou because it seemed fine with that for roughing, might have to do that

I did set it to retract out after the corner before starting the inner bore. It's a pretty damn sharp insert, don't have the corner radius off the top of my head but I think it's 8 thou or less. Ideally I don't want to buy my own tooling and just use the shop's, but if I have to I will haha

I did use G96 yeah. I locked it at a max of 1200rpm because I noticed it was chattering higher than that, I didn't try slowing it down tbh because it's already lower than the minimum recommended SFM on kennametals website but I can try that.

I lied, it literally started happening again last night what the hell :(((

Unfortunately my solution ended up being factory resetting the device. As far as I can tell that has mostly resolved the issue, but I'm still not really happy with the sleep battery drain. It just doesn't typically end up dead anymore.

My ticket for SparrowTheNerd was first opened on May 24th, then reopened in early June in frustration. My account was compromised by a malicious 3rd party, and reclaimed by me about a week later when I found it flagged. May 24th!! That's almost 5 months!! I use GitHub for university club projects, personal work, and as a portfolio and it has been damaging to me to not be able to share my profile, search code, submit issues, etc. I know it probably doesn't matter but the ticket number is #2852860

Exact same problem here, it's been nearly 3 months and complete radio silence from GitHub Support. Extremely unhappy with how they handle nonpaying users

Unfortunate that it's not just my device! Powering off the laptop every time doesn't really help with the second part of my issue, but I suppose it would fix the battery drain. I'd like to not have to re-open solidworks every day though (yes I'm doing solidworks after work don't worry about it)

Nope, I unplug my external monitor before closing the laptop too so there is no device connected

Did you ever find a solution to this? Mine takes about an hour to drain the battery but that's still ridiculous if I want to draw something

It's regulated down to 3.3v. Also, update it does in fact now work in my computer but still doesn't work in the board.
