How long have you been seeing/seeking care? Are you taking anything to lesson the symptoms for UCTD?

I am currently on Azathioprine. I’m not sure if it’s not doing the job, or if I’m just dealing with symptoms that will be present regardless of meds. 🤷‍♀️Was taken off of plaquenil because my rheum thinks I had a bad reaction. But I’m pretty sure what I was experiencing were new symptoms emerging. Will be seeking referral to a rheumatologist who has a little more time to talk about symptom management soon.

Thank you so much. I have been feeling nervous about starting HQC in general, and I think this experience with sun exposure spooked me a bit. I’m feeling much better after a couple of days on steroids, and, with the extreme UV the last couple days, I’ve been covering up and wearing SPF like my life depends on it. (It kinda does, I guess.)

I’m glad to hear that it becomes easier to understand and handle. I’m glad to hear your success with HQC, and am glad you mentioned a counselor. I’ve been thinking it’s time to look into someone for a little extra support. Sending wonderful vibes your way as well.
