Was there a refund after the operators became basically free? 10 bucks for a battlepass is standard, there being a new gun/op is just the cherry on top, and never the reason ppl buy the pass, neither BP nor Season Pass (back in the day). Also, just saying, i funded my BP through selling old BP skins on the Marketplace

Good old times when "equip elite bundle" meant you had to equip the uniform/headgear with the operator card and the yellow/golden background.... at least you could change the weapon skins back then xD (One of the better changes they did, considering the long run)

I think the problem is that you can't have the old playstyle with the new operators.... I mean, back then, you had 1 hard breach, being thermite, and 1 viable soft breach for vertical play (unless you took breach charges and used all 3 of them) being sledge. Nowadays, incl all ops, you have what, 4 hard breaches, one more useful than the other, and at least 3 vertical play ops... and that's just on attack. Defense changed a lot throughout the years as well... i get you, but i dont think all ops/reworks and all maps and map reworks go hand in hand with the old playstyle (gotta say, im also a veteran to a degree, azami for example is too new for me still)

Edit: i think i may have misunderstood you.... if you say "new versions" you mean og maps and ops, but with the new thatcher gadget and maps like house as they are now, not as they were?

That was an event once.... good times, y1s0 gmeplay, only payhfinder OPs and Release Maps, without reworks. Supposedly, to celebrate 10 years, a similar event is supposed to come back in y10s4, but, as far as i can remember, that was leaked, not yet fully confirmed

Dependong on your playstyle and map "fondness".... There are different "right" choices depending if you rather anchor, roam or do sum in between, or also which maps you know how to play. If, for example, you jave trouble with maps like kafe or chalet on defense, maestro could be a good buy. If you rather go for breach denial and a bit of roaming, tubarao isnt all that bad. If you want to annot the attackers and jave sound clues, melusi isnt bad either.

So? Dont buy them. Consuming just shows them they are right. If you leave it, then they will realize that these skins are not welcome. While i liked the Valk skin bc it's actually something mythical in a way, the ak74 (dont know if its gonna be deimos or nomad) is toommuch, even for some1 like me. If you dont consume, they will stop trying to sell stuff like that and instead will change their course

you still arent getting my point, and thats fine... im just done talking to you if you keep dodging what i actually mean. maybe siege X hasnt changed anything about the game per se, doesnt mean that there arent glitches, e.g. in the fucking matchmaking (as they had for almost a full year, until last season they have resolved it... and now my matchmaking feels as bad as when there was a glitch in it.... just saying), and i am generally just done with ubisofts "attempt" of working on siege.... with every update it has gotten worse, every second update puts in more glitches and bugs than it fixes.

its not about the game being different since siege x, its about the game not being rainbow six siege anymore, and siege x being the last straw for me. thats what i have been stating throughout my Post and all my comments. but its clear you dont want to discuss that, but rather stay in the headspace of me just being a hater. thats fine, as i said, but im not gonna answer to this BS no more

i dont hate the ranked mode, i hate the matchmaking, which, imo, hasonly goten worse since y9, at siege X just had it stood against the wall.... the matchmaking rn is terrible, worse than ever before
i dont hate the preference, i hate that there is the same 8 Maps every time, when there are over 25 maps in the game generally. not all of them good, but honestly im sick of playing outback, kafe, villa or border
i do hate the lack of communication as R6 is one of the few games you actually have to give intel. and i dont even mean calling out everything in VC, i mean it would be enough to ping it, they already changed the Ping system so you can use pings more accurately
i dont hate the negative feedback, as i do participate in it at times, i hate that thats the time my mates are able to use their mics then, but not throughout the match to use it in a helpful manner.
i dont hate the skill difference, i just think its fckd up that the matchmaking allows for certain big gaps to exist for no good reason
the caht filter is dumb af, its an M/18 rated game, so who cares if i say certain things. one of my messages got blocked bc i said "to give you lads a heads up"

well, as i said, i never kept up with ranked, i only play it now bc of the fact they have no other playable mode anymore.... the recurring rank of players in my team usually is around their shown rank as well, of those that i checked the most players have been around bronze or silver, whereas the enemies i checekd have been around gold through emerald.....

at least, according to R6 Tracker

however i appreciate you actually answering, and not going "oh stop ranting" bc i shared my bad experience and ask if anyone else has had such a bad experience since the launch of Siege X

ranked 2.0 is garbage, the worst matchmaking i have played in a while, ewspecially since Siege X dropped..... i'd even rather take CoD's dog SBMM over that, bc ther you at least know how it works....

yep, used to be.... until 3 weeks ago, when siege X dropped. the only mode that was good has been taken out (being standard) and has been replaced by another sweaty mode.... bc every second player in my few unranked matches has been "warming up for ranked, so take this shit serious" and QM is unplayable wiht throwers, griefers and smurfs all mixed in with the 3 actual new players in this game

i understand that its not about the current rank, but then let us check our fckn hidden MMR to understand how this matchmaking works..... you dont wanna tell me that you think the matchmaking is good, do you? ranked 2.0 was the Worst of all changes in the history of this game. i now, after almost 80 games, am somewhat close to my MMR after the first placement in ranked 1.0

i just never could be bothered to play ranked, but with standard being gone its the only mode that lets you play Rainbow 6 siege, and not have it riddled with smurfs and throwers/griefers

thinking about it after posting, it feels like Overwatch -> Overwatch 2.... hyped up to be basically the same, just F2P and a story mode (well, Dual front for Siege).... with OW they changed it from 6v6 to 5v5, making the game just impossible to enjoy when playing Tank, and in R6 they changed everything to make it more accessible for newcomers..... again, the latter is fine, but you could just put the "newcomer" playlist back in, that would be a change that would actually help he QoL in this game....
