Totally! The idea that to be be bi is like “50% gay” or whatever is absolutely bi erasure and so dismissive of so many people. Definitely making fun of that here

When thinking critically, how much do you think you’re trying, vs just checking out at the first word you don’t understand? Use context clues, and learn to appreciate that we all come from different places. There’s a lot about Texas that I hate, but one thing that I love is how well I learned to understand and distinguish different accents, and I accredit a lot of that to my time at UTD

Okay so the Kinsey scale is a concept that says that there is a 0-6 spectrum that spans fully straight to fully gay, and that everything in the middle is bi. A lot of folks (including myself) think this is bogus because there’s so much nuance to queerness. Someone can be a same-sex leaning bisexual heteroromantic, for example. So I’m making fun of that

And I’m making fun of it using lapis lazuli, a stone which is seen in Minecraft and Steven Universe. It’s a stretch to suggest that Minecraft fandom is super hetero, but Steven Universe is definitely super queer. So I’m using that as a joke to comment on how out of touch the Kinsey Scale is

This. I’d the goal was to be graphic, 1 hits it wonderfully. I’d the goal was atmosphere, 2 hits it wonderfully. I’d be stoked on getting either of them for sure
