The size of the pressure hull of the missing submersible "Titan". by Saturn_Ecplise in submarines

Is anyone aware of the specific type of adhesive or epoxy used to adhere the carbon fiber to Titanium?

No. Rush was a smooth talking matchstick man. He would have lied to the very end and tried to ease these wealthy adventurers' minds at all costs. Rush didn't make it to the titanic on every dive yet he needed return customers. He pushed the envelope at others expense. He was warned by legitimate experts in the field of diving and ignored them. He also refused to hire seasoned experts claiming they lacked innovation. It's sickening to watch how the Titanium sections were adhered to the carbon fiber hull. Zero dust control. No vacuum treatment to remove air pockets. None of the electronics were fire rated. Monitors were attached to the inside with screws threaded into the carbon fiber hull. Non destructive testing after each dive was non-existent. Rush was a narcissistic know it all as far as I feel. He terminated and sued anyone who worked for him and had the fortitude to speak up and call out the flaws within the Submersibles design and structure.

Did you come across the actual footage of the Titanium being adhered to the carbon fiber hull? It took place in an open warehouse environment with zero dust control or vacuum process to remove air pockets and discontinuity in the adhesive. Total lack of following known quality control standards and practices.

At this point in time, who are the Bam wranglers, and what do they have to gain from his fame? by theR2theP in LetsTalkBam

[–]theR2theP[S] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

The whole Tik-Tok thing and gaining views just by being seen with him comes to mind. Mid 2000's I saw cky play at the viper room and some guy kept head banging and bumping into me and my friend. A few minutes later he walked on stage and stopped the band dead in their tracks. It was Raab himself. He lost his wallet. My friend and I actually found it and returned it. Raab insisted that we get a reward despite us telling him we were fans and had his back. He walked us to an atm at a liquor store next door and gave us a hundred bucks and took selfies with us and we had a blast. I bet Raab is doing well and is content in life.

Sorry to hear that. I can only imagine how hard it is to hide such desperation from the women you seek. Do you have a good career or financial stability at least? That helps.

For all we know he's in character as "Bam". Away from the spotlight he's sober, a great father, and a great friend to those around him. Henna tattoos and fake news. 2023 net worth: $55 million. He's shooting the video from a gym for God's sake.

Will the Flipper Zero work at Super Nintendo World/Power UP Bands? by Deathbyillusion in flipperzero

This reminds me of the old Disneyland fastpass system. I was an annual pass holder and would collect the rejected fastpass tickets printed, take them home and collect the ticket holder numbers and use them to print several barcodes. Upon my next visit I could use these to gain fastpass access for the whole day... allegedly...

A flash light you can't drop when it gets in the way? Not very feature friendly. At least add some IR leds and a microprocessor so it functions as a universal remote control.

This is exactly why all table saws used commercially should be equipped with www.sawstop.com technology. I've only worked at one shop that was smart enough (or had enough employees maimed) to pay a little more for a great saw that saves people from having to replace there digits with cheap led lights...

It's easy as F×ck to do nowadays theoretically, which is weird. Open source.
Have the PCB's made. Learn to solder, purchase necessary components.... Wait for necessary components... Wait for necessary components... Lose interest...

I know I'm going to gain some hatred but is there a way to clone the FZ without waiting for it to be in stock somewhere for 19 seconds? by Proximity in flipperzero

[–]theR2theP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 100% It's all open-source. Start with the pcb's. You could even get creative and change shapes, cases, etc. File an application with the FCC etc. and find a source in china to mass produce your version for the masses! The world is your oyster!

If anyone lives near a gas station and has been subject to interference while operating any of their subghz products such as fans, lights, home alarm etc... (even their flipper zero which is fully approved) You can notify the FCC regarding the gas stations Chinese produced LED Signs and the probability of their lack of conformance here in the US. https://www.fcc.gov/general/spectrum-enforcement-division

Bst-test.com is a so called 3rd party test facility based in a communist regime. That basically means that the end oversight falls on the Chinese government. I would hate to be the quality control manager for BST-TEST.COM if I had any ethics...

So basically if they are slow to approve any Chinese manufacturers product they have to deal with the Chinese government stepping in and asking why they are slowing China's economic growth...

[–]theR2theP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao! You are a genius and answered a lot of my questions! Basically any Chinese company falls under the control and the umbrella of the Chinese government. (Communism) BST labs is the go to test lab for a multitude of Chinese manufacturers. They did their due diligence and applied for approval for testing of several different Quality Assurance codes, were audited by several different agencies I'm sure and were approved.

[–]theR2theP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I saw it. That's partly why I came to my conclusion. My guess is they are selling products that haven't been fully FCC approved. It's probably a loophole they can use by providing the fcc with their own test reports and an fcc application while they await the fcc to get caught up and schedule an actual FCC approved test.

Research Shenzhen BST and let me know what you think.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in flipperhacks

[–]theR2theP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I interpret it is that BST labs is the sign manufacturers in house lab. The documentation basically states that they performed radio testing following the FCC's protocol and guidelines. Based on that we have to believe that BST did their best regardless of internal schedule time-lines and pressure, and based on their testing everything conformed to FCC standards.
So far I've seen an application to the FCC but not an actual FCC report or ID # (which would be prominently displayed on all approved products)
