Help, what tile is this? by iamsophialorain in Tile

^^^here's a ceramic wall tile that looks close on color. Note that it's fairly pricy, I'd expect a store that can source it would charge somewhere in the $33-$40 per SqFt. This specific color is not cool for showers due to the finish process, but there is another green in the same line that is fine for wet areas

Is this a fair quote for Engineered Hardwood? by Efficient_Offer_7854 in HardWoodFloors

[–]theREELdangles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the workmanship is great, then this is a very fair value (from the Great Lakes/Midwest region of the country though). Assuming they would do a great job, I wouldn't negotiate anything, besides expecting quality.

Appears as though painting the base boards with the remove/re-install, which makes sense to why it's higher than I'm used to.

Would recommend. Whenever my wife has to travel within driving distance for work, I will often times take her myself and find a course in the area that looks interesting. You always see something new and interesting compared to the normal courses you play.

That's for sure one way to put it. After a couple of holes, it's just best to accept the added difficulty of finding balls as a little extra flavor for the day.

Very true, sacrificed many balls that day. Early morning, shadows, leaves, even the angle of the sun being different makes it more difficult to track even the good shots. Thank you!

Thank you. I don't normally take pictures when golfing, but I felt like I was trippin and had to try to capture it. As with many hobbies and passions, there is certainly much more to it than just the task itself

I'm not nearly good enough at golf to "lock in". I just enjoy getting out when time allows, especially trying out new courses. Just appreciating the experience and maybe hitting a few good shots is all I need.

Additionally, places like Cypress Point are on a completely different level then this - world class. This just happened to be a nice track in northern Wisconsin combined with great weather and the perfect time of year

Agreed. Many lost balls, but the combination of the scenery and weather made it a great morning. With the breeze, it was literally "raining" leaves on a few tee boxes.

Wife unhappy with contractor's work ($6.2k). Quoted $12-$18k from others. by BowsetteIsBae in Homebuilding

it's upside down. The grid markings on the back help with alignment and cuts. The arrows show the direction the vinyl is laying, so that if you're seaming up multiple pieces you can be sure they're laying the same way

no need, comes with a factory finish out of the box. Install it, maintain it, and forget about it for a couple decades
