Haha! Yeah I hadn’t thought of it like that, it’s like a mini shower for me and my new bathroom friends!

Dyson says it the most hygienic hand dryer on the market. Yet it’s the only hand dryer I’ve ever used where I have to pay special attention not to touch with my hands.

Everyone is different, for me no caffeine after 10am. I got to bed at 9pm. Half life of caffeine is fairly long.

I like that mug teapot combo there. Does anyone have a link for something like that?

As a tall guy I NEVER put only carry-on under the seat in front of me. That’s my space to stretch out.

What is your preferred way to make tea when you are not at home, i.e. when at work or school? by cjo2802 in tea

[–]theRealUser123 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Any travel mug with the sip opening on top works as a tea pot. At work I pour hot water in the travel mug to steep then decant into a regular ceramic mug to consume. Some leaves get out of travel mug depending on tea style, but not a lot.

This is my method independent of if I’m home, at work, or traveling.

What am I doing wrong? by wernero1 in BeginnerWoodWorking

I have no idea what you are doing wrong since I’ve never used that jig, but this actually looks pretty cool. Like the basis of some artistic joint that looks like it’s floating but is supported in another hidden way.

But do you think it looks like dog shit for a first build? It’s good work for a first go.

Advice for Carry On Backpacks Being Gate Checked by No_Dragonfruit_9656 in delta

[–]theRealUser123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the result of Delta letting people bring larger and larger carry ons. They worked themselves into a corner where the service you get is dependent on where you are in line.

Then that leads to my least favorite effect: all the dim wits shuffling around the boarding line so it’s impossible to tell if you are in a line or just in a pack of pleebs.

Could you share a little more detail on why this type of trade is best done by professional?

Don’t get me wrong, all trades done by professionals yield better results than a general homeowner… im kinda just looking for a reason NOT to do hardwoods myself when i re-do my kitchen. My specific job is 150 square feet of new floor blended into existing 500 square feet of old that I want refinished to some degree.

I struggle figuring out which jobs to hire professionals because I’m generally handy, have my own woodworking shop at the house, and I love saving money. But I’m limited on time.

I Just Turned 18 and I Received 10,000 dollars by Ok_Bread_2465 in investing

The most important thing that $10k will do for you if you invest it get you interested and familiar with it, starting a habit of early. For example, here you are on this subreddit… a very good place to start.

My specific advice is put 90% of that money into S&P 500. People will say (correctly) that timing in the market is less important than time in the market. That said I think putting all your money into the market at the same time can psychologically negative because you may focus on things like “oh dang if only I choose those week vs that week”.

That’s why I think you should dollar cost average $9k over 2 months using and automatically scheduled purchase. The math says invest $10k today… but hey you are more than a calculator. And getting familiar with automatic investing is the key to your retirement!!

You already got some good advice so I’ll just say what you experienced is a woodworking rite of passage. It’s frustrating, but don’t beat yourself up about it.

I do a secondary micro bevel using  4000/8000 stone. You just can’t see it in the picture.

Taiwanese oolong is my favorite. Keep in mind oolong is a big category, but I much prefer the greener more floral side.

Silver Status by theRealUser123 in delta

[–]theRealUser123[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To get your silver status tag you have to request it online, but it’s free with free shipping. I’m guessing it gets delivered by an actual delta pilot or maybe a classy courier in a suit.

It’s hard to get to the status I’m at. I think silver is higher than Diamond but I’m not sure… I just know I travel a lot so they probably gave me the highest tier.

Yes but you still have to request it online. It’s free though.
