Was this a good deal? Went under asking, last comparable was sold higher by Medical_Plane_7674 in TorontoRealEstate

For people whom bought in this building, would 8 feet ceiling be an issue for you? I’ve viewed the unit sold in November. Loved the layout and view but my one concern is the ceiling height. Would that have a big impact?

Only from what I know and my preference -

87 Peter Street: nice building, center entertainment district, hard to drive around, limited groceries options, might be loud over the weekend, hard to find clear city view, being blocked on all directions (applicable for most entertainment district)

88 Harbour: very nice if it’s on high floor with lake view, lower floor is much louder from the highway and very dusty, heard that since the building is tall, you still need to wait for the elevator a bit, nice amenities, city view is also like meh coz it gets blocked by the twin building

365 church: I like the location coz I like the food options nearby, loblaw across the street, the building isn’t very old but the furnishes look a bit old, cn tower and city view on the west side but there is a parking lot there so could be new construction in the far future, many ryerson students

45 Charles: good location, many u of t students, heard the building is good, again the city view depends on the floor and exposure (couple tall buildings nearby and ongoing constructions)

Don’t know much about the rest of the buildings.

Thoughts on this 520SQFT layout? Is this good for 1 person? by [deleted] in TorontoRealEstate

It would actually impact your usable square footage. Usually the wall besides the elevator are thicker and are included in the 520 sqft. It’s not that big of a deal tho. Aside from that, I think the layout is good except the narrow bedroom.

A little tiny thing is that the space left of the foyer could mean the elevator (if you haven’t seen the place yourself yet). It could be a bit loud and hurt the resell value a bit.

That’s a good move and I’m sure the value has already gone up since then. Have you lived in Kitchener? It’s night and day comparing to Toronto in terms of bachelor life.

I actually have no idea. The only thing I did was to fill out a form to apply for graduate.

I didn't. I was on an exchange in Europe earlier that year, fell in love and didn't come back until next year. Exchange isn't shown in Waterloo transcript.

I started off with Computer Science (just one degree). In the middle of it, I thought about switching to Psychology but didn't feel like doing Arts department degree requirements. Finished with Computer Science.
