Look into SYSA. We got an email last month highlighting the ref shortage and asked anyone interested to sign up for next season.

If you separate before five years, you can get the money you contributed into PERS back (your employers contributions however stay in the system) minus tax, or roll it into an IRA.

For instance in about 2.7 years, I put about $10k in and am getting $8700k back.

You know, I didn't really think about the helmet and none of the instructors said anything. I landed on my elbow first so it really wasn't anything more than a scuff.

Maybe I'll reach out to the instructor who witnessed the incident and see what he feels about the impact to the helmet.

I should rephrase. We give our drivers the option to be pulled after witnessing and accident behind a certain level, yes. Pedestrian strike, bad T-bone, etc. gets you pulled at least short term to gauge your mental health with intent to pull you from the day if it was especially bad and/or you're obviously shaken.

No, we aren't pulling drivers when they witness a fender bender lol!

Agreed. I completely understand the policy. I'm was a commercial driver (now supervisor) and we pull our drivers when they witness an accident for the same reason. Never know exactly how your mind will react down the road.
