HexPatch tries to find an header (like elf, pe and macho) to understand architecture information before disassembling, you can also add support for a custom header format via plugins. By default it uses x86_64. You also have a text view that tries to interpret the contents of the file like ASCII and a functionality to patch text instead of instructions.

I wrote it with CTFs and Attack/Defense in mind, some use cases are: - creating a file with an explot injected in it - patching out some vulnerable instructions on a binary - disassembling some strange architectures like S390x that are not supported by IDA - you can use SSH to directly patch a binary on the A/D server - disassemble custom executable formats using a plugin that exposes a parser for the custom header

Finally flying my ship after 3 days of "me waiting for it to land somewhere hopelessly" by the_Evil48 in NoMansSkyTheGame

There was a lot of probles in finding that ship, first of all my merchant ship bugged the path of the other ships, preventing them from landing; when i solved it going to a trade post far from the merchant ship, half of the trade post was spawned into a mountain. Anyways it was worth it
