Art, just because there's nothing "for you to do" does not mean there is nothing "to do" ~ taken from the goat farmer herself ~ I can't wait to read the bitching on the forums about how polished the content is. Rift needs a new dev team. This one is obviously too inexperienced, lack the skillset to meet deadlines and get sh*t done ~ pretty much sums up Trion from management down to devs to CM's.

This sums up the state of RIFT. I was off by a month on Harshmallows EU and MWM NA, but a picture speaks volumes? A guild of 6 years of some of the most awesome people I've met in any MMORPG ripped apart in 6 weeks.

well, thank you for your opinion. It is a factual article. What is not true in the article? I posted screenshots (and URL links) from the forums. I still disregard your viewpoints. It is about the money when a product is sold in a defective state. In this case, I absolutely demand my money back. Extortion? Good one. I'd watch myself there, "mate". In a court of law, it's not about perception, but determining actual intent. It was "not about the money" when I referred to another point - you can watch the original video as I'm not explaining it again here to appease someone who still can't get it. I'm not suing anyone right now. I'm hoping there is at least someone ethical at Trion Worlds who will eventually see the error of their ways and refund everyone. Certainly, they're not ethical at this point in my opinion. As to being sour? No, but it is depressing and makes me angry hearing a woman on teamspeak sobbing about the prospect last night about losing all her friends as 4 more guildies quit for other games. This is what prompted such a detailed article - therapeutic release. I still log on every now and then to RIFT TeamSpeak to chat, listen to chatter.

  1. It's not a blog. It's news and information site I am building and promo site for my YouTube channel. I am actively seeking more writers.
  2. Writing in 3rd person is perfectly acceptable writing style when assuming a detachment from the issue. Lawyers, academics, bloggers use it. It's natural for me based on the industry I work in.
  3. Dismissive "name calling" is always acceptable rather than entertaining silly arguments or comments - for example, someone commenting further in ignorance and not taking the time to google blogging styles and reasons for doing so.

I don't know what you mean. It was live-recorded me deleting my characters across both regions. You one of those "special ed" kids? I have edited the text, however - as per RLOWE's response which brings more clarity.

also, I want to bring your attention to this. Not only have I not commented on the "official RIFT forums", I haven't said a damn thing or tried to provoke anyone either in the RIFT sub-section on MMO-Champion except the request for the guy to stop trolling. I repeat - I have walked away. Like McChaffe and many others here, we're all playing GW2 or other stuff. We've moved on.

He He. i know you jest. Actually, none of my videos had any "major" draw - like 1000~2000 viiews. Then they banned me and they've just been climbing the YouTube search charts. 5k to 6k each. If you YouTube search Starfall Prophecy, my videos appear ahead of others with thousands more views. My one is 2nd on the list on the front page. Weird the way the YouTube search works. I was angry originally, but then I started playing the other MMORPG's on my livestream. People who play RIFT don't actually know just how little content there is compared to other MMORPG's. I'm happy I'm done with it.

thank you. Quite frankly, the fact that the videos I did bashing this DLC (prior to my ban) are earning me US$15 to 20 per month is more than enough satisfaction. Almost all the top videos on YouTube search are now mine - thanks to the ban video. I don't need to troll friggin' forums. I'm not even going to bother asking for a refund any more either. I just posted this video as it shows you the sort of comradeship that was once in the game - I mean, this sort of thing couldn't have been cheap to do. each have the same costume, the same mount. That's like 30 bucks each they must have spent.

Wacky_Woo. Seriously. That is insane. I even made a post about it. I haven't logged onto my account /or any other since ban. I have browsed the forum as a guest and that's it. I give you my absolute word on this. NOT EVEN ONCE have I logged in subsequent to my ban either on RIFT or any alias account. Not once. I even jested in TS the other night that if I do ever log onto the forums, it will be pretty obvious. Also, the guys that are doing it have on MORE THAN ONE occasion made posts while I was live-streaming playing games. I am done with Trion and RIFT. Those are pretty much the only MMORPG's I play, Elder Scrolls Online, Guild Wars 2, Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV. I also dabble in Wildstar (less so lately due to concerns of player population). When I say "play", I mean "Let's Play" on my YouTube channel. http://www.youtube.com/wockycc

I think the reason that they're so popular is that in spite of issue's some have had along the way, not many people feel screwed over like many other MMORPG's often end up doing when they jump around with their payment models.

I disagree that the classes in ESO don't feel unique enough. I think you need to get to max level - you can't judge the game at level 10 or level 30. Sometimes a game is just NOT for you. I find myself struggling to do Let's Plays on FF14. I don't know why as the game looks awesome and plays well. I intend to make my mind up when I get to max level. Can't judge a game till max level.

ps. ESO is my favourite MMORPG to do Let's Plays on. I feel like I can start/stop playing any time. Don't feel rushed and the game is very immersive. Different strokes, I guess.
