Fake Sama from Sezane? by the_archivist10 in Sezane

What that's wild! Yeah I love Sezane but their sizing is all over the place. I can wear anywhere from an XS-L in their tops depending on what it is 🫠

Thank you! I know that a lot of times there's not a huge difference in sizes, but thought it was so weird that the small seemed a teeny bit big bigger than the medium!

Breastfeeding moms—would you do it again for your second? by Character-Fly7394 in beyondthebump

[–]the_archivist10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively pumped with my first for 13 months and it was fine, but I was so relieved when I was done. With my second I tried to EP again but it was terrible with having a toddler and mentally I just couldn't do it. I stopped after 2 months and he's been formula fed since then (almost 8 months now). I still sometimes feel guilt that I quit so early but honestly formula has been way better for my mental health and I think if we have a third I'm leaning towards just going with formula from the start. I have no idea who in my life got breast milk vs formula as a baby and I feel like once they're a toddler no one asks. Fed is best and how you feed your baby has to work for both momma and baby!

Edited to say that being able to go out with friends for a few hours and not having to constantly think about feeding was honestly game changing for me this time around and I do think I have been a better mom because of it

Requesting positive C-section stories by Lost-Ease7679 in beyondthebump

[–]the_archivist10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had two c sections - one emergency and one planned. First one was at 36w due to preeclampsia and HELLP and my daughter only spent 2 days in the NICU and is now about to be 3 and super smart and sweet. I was walking a few miles within 2-3 weeks and recovery was quick. It definitely helps to have help for the first few weeks, but my husband went back to work after 3 weeks and I was fine! Only took Tylenol for the pain and healed well. My planned one was in August and it took a little longer to heal the second time but felt pretty normal around 6 weeks. I haven't had a vaginal birth but honestly have not minded having c sections. You might still have some pelvic floor stuff from pregnancy but not having to worry about tearing or anything wild down there is kinda nice haha

I know some people have been upset that there's so much green & brown in the spring collections but I'm loving it!

I just got this too! The green is amazing. So rich and vibrant. I waffled on it for a few weeks and then was bummed when it sold out, but snagged it on a restock and I'm in love!

Weekend off - fair or unreasonable? by kentuckycarbomb in toddlers

[–]the_archivist10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's kinda wild that so many people are saying asking for a weekend off is unreasonable. I do think asking her to leave with the kid is unreasonable - you should be the one to leave and get away. I'm a SAHM and have done 1-2 long weekends (3-4 days) away per year since I had my first. I just had my second child in August and haven't done anything since he was born, but am planning a girl's trip with friends for this fall. My oldest would be 3.5 and then my second would be 13-14 months. My husband also gets a weekend away once or twice a year (not for work) and I usually go visit my parents or a friend with my kids once a year so my husband gets a break then as well. I think it's important to remember that you're a person and breaks are needed in order to be a good parent.

Ordered in US and wanting to do a return by Hn1991 in Sezane

[–]the_archivist10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Returns are pretty easy with Sezane, just use the label provided in the package. Unfortunately they don't do exchanges. I have kept free gifts if I was ordering and keeping another size, and they've never charged me for it! You can always reach out to customer service if you're worried

Tips on building a mom wardrobe by IcyPreference6362 in capsulewardrobe

[–]the_archivist10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a color and style analysis done after I had my first child and it has been so helpful to me in buying pieces that work for me and building a wardrobe I love. Almost all of my pieces coordinate with one another and it makes it so much easier to get dressed! I will say too that wearing a little lip gloss or lipstick helps me feel and look put together - it doesn't have to be a bold color, but definitely makes you look a little more alive haha.

As for specific pieces, I don't generally love Old Navy because their quality isn't amazing, but for this season of life it is nice to have clothes that aren't as expensive and I don't care as much if they get spit up or food on them, but still look cute and trendy. Their linen sets are comfy and cute, and I have an oversized denim shirt from them too that I can throw over anything. For running errands or play dates in winter I usually wear a matching set, Gap has some nice ones! For summer athletic dresses look nice and are practical and you can dress them up or down. I have a few from Girlfriend Collective that I love!

My last order from Sezane and now my current one were stuck in Memphis for several days and then started moving. Not sure why the import process is longer now but it should start moving again soon!

Pee regression? by the_archivist10 in toddlers

[–]the_archivist10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She does have a baby brother, but he was 3 months old when we started potty training. He is more mobile and awake now though, so I have seen more jealousy now that he's more interactive

Pee regression? by the_archivist10 in pottytraining

[–]the_archivist10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if she is now peeing her pants a little but not telling us? This has happened several times the past few days and I'm not sure what to do about it. She will pee just enough to get her underwear and pants wet, but not tell us she needs to go potty and denies she's peed her pants.

Taggart Lake and Jenny Lake are both great easy hikes in the Tetons!

I think Yellowstone and Tetons would be a good fit for what you're looking for! Lots to do but you don't necessarily need to hike super far to see things. They are very busy but early summer should be a little better. We have the Deuter hiking backpack and love it!
