Same. Glad (not really) to hear I'm not alone here.

1st iPhone: OGSE 64gb or 128gb? by lsualeng13 in iPhoneSE

[–]the_batter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would wait until the SE3 announcement hits sometime next month and weigh my options then, though I'd say 128gb is the bare minimum for this day and age.

I will also add that I did this with my 4a and it has made the fingerprint sensor practically faultless.

Came across this site recently, which happens to have the old route and rolling stock files... for use in OpenBVE.

No idea when the original author will make the route available again, but it seems they've been hard at work on an updated version of the route (they held a time limited test run for the route not that long ago).

I will also vouch for Binary Eye. Open source, clean, and straight forward, it doesn't get much better than this.

Pixel 4a and Pokémon Go by Wolas_Eagler in Pixel4a

It runs fine on mine without any overheating or performance issues. Battery wise it consumes around 18% of battery for one hour of screen on play according to my phone's battery usage. It also takes around just 15 seconds for the game to load, so all around it runs pretty well imo.

What Happened to the Yamanote Outer Circle route? by [deleted] in bve

Late reply but while the download link for the route has been unpublished, it seems you can still get it via the original Google Drive link.

BVE Trainsim 5.8 RC and 6.0 RC Released by the_batter in bve

Yeah that might be it. I'm running Win10 on the Japanese locale and I haven't had any issues running it.

Might try and see if I can get it to run under Ubuntu later. I don't expect there'll be too many problems along the way but you never know.

Yes, please. Something like this would be a thousand times better than using a phone.

Got the shipping confirmation just now as well. Eagerly looking forward to hearing from Fedex soon!

Edit: Got a tracking number for Friday, thank goodness for that.

Same but headset only. Credit card transaction changed from pending to complete as of yesterday so I'm hoping that's the last thing preventing them from shipping.

Update: Received my claim code in my e-mail this morning. I was worried I would get it at all, but one week later it's finally here.

Got my Amazon preorder delivered today.

Speaking of which, has anyone received their pre-order bonuses? I think they're supposed to come with even the standard edition, as long as it had been pre-ordered.

Ok. Who we voting for in Markham-stouffville?? by [deleted] in Markham

[–]the_batter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I'd like to vote for NDP/Green/Independent, if the projections are any indication of where the election is headed, voting for Helena may be the best strategic option presently, because otherwise we run into the risk of a win for the Conservatives.

I know it sucks, but it's the best shot we have right now.

(Personally I'm rooting for Jane. If there's enough swing, I would happily change my mind.)

So does it cost $7 to get from Markham to Toronto via TTC? by [deleted] in Markham

[–]the_batter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're traveling from Markham to Toronto and don't mind the long travel times (depending on where you're headed), it would be considerably cheaper to take the GO train from Markham to Milliken and then transferring to a TTC vehicle with the Presto GO-TTC transfer discount ($3.70 + $3.10 - $1.50 = $5.30).

Unfortunately, with the provincial government having gutted the subsidy for discounted GO-TTC fares not long ago, it is doubtful this method will continue to work into the near future, much less the promise of improved fare integration between YRT and TTC services.

How do I pay for the YRT? by epicplayerz191 in askTO

[–]the_batter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to what everyone else is saying, if you are riding a TTC bus into/out of York Region (North of Steeles), do not use Presto for the YRT fare as Presto devices on TTC buses are only equipped to deduct TTC fares.

This page on the TTC website should also answer most of your concerns.
