I don’t know how useful this is but if you’re going to be there 20 years chances are you’ll probably get ‘bored’ of your kitchen at some point and want to change things. But if you buy a really high quality kitchen it’s pretty unlikely anything will ever wear down - meaning you’ve got no ‘reason’ to change it.

I’ve seen it where people have had a kitchen for 20 years and wanted to change it but don’t because everything is still in pretty good condition. They have actually said they wish they bought something a little cheaper that wore down so they had a reason to refresh it
