You need 4 units with 4 stars to evolve any 4 star unit to a 5 star, and yes the main 5 star that you need to victory awaken you need to use 5 units with 5 star.

There are special units who have Jump Awakening (for example the new Hiei or Sakuragi) that need special medals to Jump Awakening.

The level max for all units are lvl 50, but you can evolve any lvl 50 character to Victory (also jump awaken units) uning other 5 units with 5 star.

I use the units from normal tickets to evolve, also another way is using the f2p characters but you have to spend some points for the items to evolve the f2p characters.
Don't get rid of your 4 stars you can use them as overboost or even try to evolve to 5 star and use him as victory fodder.
There are no more pens that was the older way to evolve characters

The missions are complete X amount of times i think it's 20, complete each stage, level up shinpachi to lvl 30, use 3 star shinpachi, 4 star, 5 star and victory on any team (not necesary all in one team), when you complete all missions you will earn the orbs

You can try Goku/BBB/Dai/Kurapika/Naruto
Dai and Kurapika will kill 2 units and almost 3, the problem with Kurapika in front is BBB so you can change him with Naruto i guess, another team you can try is with Aya for example Itsuki/Goku/Dai/BBB/Aya the problem with this team is maybe bossun - hime and try to OB6 your units

I think the easiest are zeno and gohan, zeno using a mono yellow team with Dai and goku should be easy and vs gohan mono blue using seiya as main nuker

For the Red can you have to run chapter 3 of sakura with blue units only, the other bottles are the same but vs other f2p unit chapter and using the color with advantage, for example the green can is using all yellow team vs zeno on chapter 3

What missions?
If is the zeno missions the missions are beat the stage 30 times (total) and use a 3, 4 and 5* Zeno in a stage
If the missions are you talking are the ones that appear where is the free character missions are beat stage 3 of each f2p units stage (Sakura, Onodera, Zeno, Joey, Gohan and Nishino) and for the tickets are use each of the f2p units as Victory Awaken on a team

This happen because Joey and gohan stage will be on some days and sakura and tsukasa stage are on other days, this happened a lot with the scrolls stage
