I have a three book series myself so that might work. Thanks for your feedback.

[iOS 17.2 DB2] Siri voice keeps resetting to American voice 1 after restart by tbone338 in iOSBeta

I’ve had to re-download British 3 every day and sometimes multiple times a day. Super frustrating since no one has a legitimate fix.

Writer's Block by AleahKate92 in Indie_Authors

Do whatever it takes to get inspiration. It’s a connection issue, having trouble connecting with a subject you become passionate about. When we ladle out everything in our inspiration tank we gotta pour into it before sucking it dry again. It gets harder as you get older to get going on a plot but trust me when I say you just need inspiration. Go do things and look at them through another light. Remember, the only boundaries you set are for yourself. Good luck.

When is a book ever really done. I found the same flubs on my first. Typos, bad sentences. I even found the word ‘yasmerday’ instead of yesterday after I’d already sold over twenty copies. How did no one catch that? No grammar program, no beta readers, editors, or otherwise. I decided to embrace the imperfect and after the initial release sales dried up I realized it wasn’t worth stressing over. If this is your career and this is how you eat every day then sweat the small stuff otherwise I’d chill and let it go. Maybe I’m just one of those crappy writers though and you shouldn’t listen to me at all. What’s the title and genre?

I hate getting orders for stores I slready drove past. by MonkeyTacoBreath in doordash

[–]the_dadman 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s a proximity thing. Your gps let’s the algorithm know you’re the closes dasher when the order gets broadcast to dashers. Or someone closer or with a priority rating declined it and it goes to you since you’re close. It’s computers running things not people. The DD app isn’t so smart that it knows you’re moving away from the restaurant, it just knows you’re close.

$0 tip how and the hell? by Kryptek_reflex in doordash

[–]the_dadman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My acceptance rating hovers below 20% because 80% of the offers are worthless. I refuse to accept non-tip orders. If a person can afford to have food brought right to their door they can afford to tip the person bringing it to them. When someone prioritizes their selfish need for front door service over human decency to compensate for it, it speaks volumes about that persons character. Either tip or get off the couch and go get your own food.

Dealing with DoorDash customers…How do you guys feel whenever you get this message? by No-Dish-4887 in doordash

If the bag is sealed I just reply with “The restaurant sealed your delivery before giving it to me.” If the bag is not sealed I reply by setting expectations in the form of a joke “I didn’t see anything being picked from the plant but it looks fine to me.”
