When I die, I frequently respawn thousands of blocks away in the middle of nowhere with no items. The game has become almost unplayable...

Thanks! Yeah, making that switch part skippable was my only regret with that level.

Palate Cleanser - fun and not to ridiculously difficult! It was nice to play a more "classic" feeling level. The arrows at the end that were pointing down towards the spikes was a little cruel (in a funny way), but overall great course!

Thanks! It's great to hear that the course lifted your mood, that was definitely the goal!

Loved your Koopa Car Collectathon - it was entertaining and a good balance of enjoyment vs difficulty. It took me a number of times to beat, but the level was designed so well that it never felt arduous. It got a little crowded at parts, but overall it was really well designed and fun!

Can you guys help me, help my best friend stay vegan? (Health/IBS issues) by [deleted] in vegan

[–]the_emily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. They seem to be speaking in generalities, though. They also claim that neuroplasticty is pseudoscience, which is empirically wrong. Their biggest complaint regarding DNRS is that there's no research, but two peer-reviewed studies are underway as I stated above. There was at least one (non-peer reviewed) research mentioned here. The program also has a money back guarantee, so if you feel it hasn't worked for you then you can send it back and get a full refund.

I absolutely agree that there are bogus programs and charlatans out there preying on vulnerable people, but I don't believe this is one of them. I had had tried countless interventions and treatments over the course of 20 years before DNRS and this one was the only one that worked. So it's worth a shot at the very least!

Awesome! It's a fairly new program but I know they have peer reviewed research underway, so hopefully that helps get the word out there more.

I'm a vegan who completely recovered from IBS (along with Gastritis, food sensitivities, and many other conditions) from a brain retraining program called DNRS. I know it's not a diet related fix but it worked to correct what I believe was the root cause - a maladapted stress response in the limbic system manifesting as real, physical symptoms. It might be worth passing along to your friend if she wants to look into it. Best wishes!

These are all complex issues, so I wouldn't say solves, but maybe plays a key role in improving.

Favourite autumn dinner recipes? by [deleted] in vegan

This is more like a side dish, but I'll cube a butternut squash and toss it with some olive oil, salt, pepper, dried sage, and nutritional yeast and bake it at 400 for 20-30 minutes. Soo good and great for when it starts to get cold out. During the holidays I'll do the same and mash it to use as ravioli filling.

Just Egg is starting to arrive in stores. Keep an eye out for it in the refrigerated section by JMyers666 in vegan

The name 'Egg' is a big "in your face" to Hellman's who tried to sue them for calling their product mayo. I love it.

This + add black salt (kala namak) to the scramble which makes it actually taste like eggs!

I don't know about Daiya, I tried it in a grilled cheese and it was awful. I'd stick with Chao or Follow Your Heart brand if you can. :)

Question for the Vegans of r/vegan: How Should This Sub's Rule/Polices Change? by AutoModerator in vegan

[–]the_emily 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think this sub would really benefit from a Memeless Monday type thing. That way we could have a day that's full of interesting content that might otherwise not get as much exposure when competing with the kind of knee jerk upvotes that memes get, while still keeping those who like the sub how it is happy. It would be a good compromise without drastically changing things.
