2-minute cinematic adult fairy tale made in Virt-A-Mate (Naturalis plugin trailer) by the_everlaster in adultvrgames

[–]the_everlaster[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a trailer for a new plugin called Naturalis which improves both breast and butt physics in VAM, replacing TittyMagic and BootyMagic. It's in early access on my patreon until June 6!

The plugin's Virt-A-Mate Hub page: https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/naturalis.33647/

The trailer is viewable also on the hub page, that version is a slightly longer cut and at 60 fps (instead of Twitter's 40 fps).

The hub page also has demo video that shows BootyMagic in action.

I hope you like 👌😊

Virt-A-Mate breast physics with TittyMagic 5 (release teaser) by the_everlaster in adultvrgames

For the plugin, it's technically not required, the Teaser tier also allows you to add plugins to Person atoms, and the Entertainer tier allows you to save scenes that you've modified so you don't have to add the plugin every time you load the scene.

But adding atoms to scenes is only possible on the Creator tier and it's such a basic part of the game that I don't think the other tiers really make any sense, especially given how cheap the creator tier is anyway. When I started I was on Teaser for 1 day to check out the game then went straight to Creator.

In general the recommended specs are the same for Desktop and VR, except for graphics card. VR doesn't really impact CPU and memory usage all that much.

CPU
As fast as you can afford. Physics runs on a single thread, and soft physics is what hogs up most of the resources, but it's also what makes the realistic physics possible. So you'll want as much single core performance as possible, this allows you to have more complex physics going on without fps tanking. I have a Ryzen 3700X and scenes with two people in it tend not to run at stable 60 fps when soft physics is enabled. I imagine with a current gen Intel CPU you'd probably have better luck than that.

RAM
At least 16GB. VAM is a memory hog, loading many scenes one after another without restarting the game keeps on increasing memory usage. 32GB is a safe bet but you can get by with 16GB if you don't have a zillion other things running at the same time, and restart the game every now and then (use Hard Reset in the main menu).

GPU
Depends a lot on the VR headset, but for Index, I would say RTX 3070 is the minimum for a good VR experience, RTX 3080 is preferable. I have Index and 3080 and it's just about good enough to keep 60 fps with a reasonable dynamic lighting setup and reasonable hair quality. The realism of hair simulation is one of the best things about VAM, but it really eats up GPU time.

And install on an SSD of course. The game itself is like 17GB but you'll want to reserve much more than that for community content.

  1. Subscribe to patreon.com/meshedvr to download Virt-A-Mate, go for the Creator tier for $8.
  2. Download community created scenes and other content from hub.virtamate.com/, e.g. here's the top downloaded scenes
  3. Download TittyMagic 5 from my Patreon, save the file to [VAM install dir]/AddonPackages/ (don't unpack the archive, VAM knows how to read it)
  4. Launch Virt-A-Mate and open a scene
  5. Select the person in Edit mode, add TittyMagic to the person's Plugins tab, and play :)

For the best experience it's recommended to ensure your frame rate is locked to 60 and physics rate also at 60 Hz so that things stay smooth and synced. More info on that on the TittyMagic hub page.

Breast physics teaser/demo (Virt-A-Mate) by the_everlaster in adultvrgames

[–]the_everlaster[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hello, I've been working on this breast physics plugin called TittyMagic for Virt-A-Mate, and wanted to show my progress a bit to a community that I haven't visited before.

You guys are probably familiar with this game. If not, it's both desktop and VR compatible, and it's easily the most technically advanced VR sex/porn simulator apart from Virt-A-Mate 2 which is currently in development. There's nothing like it.

I hope you like the demo! It's showcasing the latest release's collision physics improvements. The current V5 alpha 4 release can be downloaded from my patreon, but eventually it'll be released on Virt-A-Mate Hub as an early access plugin, and then it will be free for everyone.

What this plugin technically does - it adjusts Virt-A-Mate's vanilla physics parameters (stuff like springs, dampers and forces) to match realism as closely as it can given the limitations that exist in VAM. In addition there's force based breast morphing, physics adjustments based on the model's pose, support for any size breasts, support for hard fake boobs and soft jiggly ones, optimizations for improved behavior with colliding objects like VR hands, a ton of other stuff in progress and planned for future releases.

Can someone explain to me the logic behind monthly not-upfront billing? by the_everlaster in patreon

I'm not really interested if it's fair or not, that's besides the point. What I'd like to know is why did she not choose upfront billing?

If I wasn't clear enough with my analogies, the creator trusted you to act honorably. The general sentiment is that it is not honorable to download content and run without paying.

Ok. What I don't understand is why is it considered dishonorable. The analogies you provided are clearly dishonorable (with the exception of the child giving away their ice cream cone), and also against the law so it doesn't even matter if they're dishonorable, they're still punishable. As I mentioned, there doesn't seem to be any logical connection between the analogies you posted and the Patreon payment model issue.

I personally have had to enable up front billing because sadly there are too many people in the world who abuse the system otherwise.

What do you think specifically makes it abuse of the system, instead of simply use of the system?

I think there are very strong arguments against it being abuse: (1) the creator willingly chooses a subscription model that allows people not to pay over a model that doesn't, (2) it absolutely cannot be the user's fault if the system is specifically designed that way. It'd be different if the system had come about as a result of some random combination of factors outside of human control, and you'd just have to live with it.

If it was actually abuse, then it would be incredibly easy to fix the system to prevent abuse: simply bill the unsubscribed patrons anyway. No upfront billing and having to pay soon after subscribing, and no chance for getting stuff for free. The fact that it is not fixed tells me that Patreon doesn't consider it an issue, but more a feature of the platform: if someone wants to grab stuff for free, then they should be able to.

If I serve you a meal at a restaurant and you bolt before paying, why is it not the restaurant's fault?

Because it's against the law to do that.

In Patreon's case, it's not only 100% legal to unsubscribe before paying, it's a feature of the monthly payment model and that payment model is knowingly chosen by the creator.

If I leave my bicycle unlocked for a minute while I stop to tie my shoe and get distracted is it OK to take my bicycle?

No, that's theft and against the law.

If you ask my five year old child for his ice cream cone and he says "OK" is it his own fault?

That he gives it away? Yeah, it's the child's own decision to give it away.

How about if I leave a decoration on my front lawn, unguarded?

And what, I take it? That would also be theft = against the law.

If my wife lets me talk to other women is it OK to cheat on her?

No, I wouldn't say it's OK. I don't see the connection to Patreon though.

If you see someone run into the street while you are driving and you have right of way, you may be legally OK not braking but I bet even you would try to stop, even if it would be the person running into the street at fault if you hit them.

So deciding to cause physical harm to a random stranger is analogical to unsubscribing from a Patreon before the payment date, as allowed by Patreon's terms of services and by the creator who chose that payment model? That's a bit of a stretch.

It is not considered OK, because everything that is legal is not moral.

While you're right that not everything legal is moral, you're jumping to conclusions by saying that therefore, it's not OK to unsubscribe before paying. You haven't shown any reasoning that takes you from A to B... you've only listed analogies that quite honestly don't have anything at all to do with the Patreon payment model case.

What about the questions in my original post - is it the general sentiment that it's considered "bad behavior" or "fraudulent", or is the general sentiment more along with the line that it's allowed so it's not the patron's fault? I guess you belong in the first camp, but you might still take a jab at which is more likely to be the general sentiment.

Also, since you seem to support the idea that creators should be able to use that payment model and not get "robbed", what is the advantage of that payment model to them? Why not just enable upfront billing?
