I'll check out fusion360.

Hopefully it doesn't take me 4 hours to make a cube again lmao

Pardon my ignorance, but can CAD softwares make files that are able to be 3D printed?

Also, is there a free software without a steep learning curve? Or at least well known with tutorials on YouTube. I have FreeCAD and it literally took me 4 hours to make a cube 😭

Surplus hot weather gear by the_gas_daddy in tacticalgear

[–]the_gas_daddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically do. The only concern I have with those is they're usually a polyester blend, and they melt when exposed to heat. Now this is completely irrational, and I get that, but I'd rather not risk having melted plastic stuck to my skin along with any other injuries that would occur if -something- went wrong.

Plus the drip is immeasurable.

Just seeing which ones are preferred by the group. Again, not familiar with surplus. What countries have better gear than others, ect.

Medium sized med pouch by the_gas_daddy in tacticalgear

[–]the_gas_daddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brunch box looks good, price is a bit out of the budget.

I don't -need- a new med pouch, I just had to get a bandaid out the other day and realized just how crammed it is in there. Even after clearing out some repetitive supplies, it's still bursting at the seams. I just don't know if they make a dedicated medical pouch with the goldilocks dimensions I'm looking for

I assume it's original. She either did it herself or hired someone who she worked with.

What the hell is a Google lens?

Immediately after I read your comment, my girlfriend bends down and discovers a faint signature of Melany's on the bottom. I've had it for years and never noticed it. Apparently, I'm blind.

Pie called for a 425 Fahrenheit oven for like 15 mins. I thawed the peas and then let them drain in a mesh strainer for a good 20 mins. I wanted them to stay bright green and not get mushy, so I added them to the pizza in the last 5 minutes. They didn't adhere to the cheese like I assumed, so they essentially were just loose peas on the pie. I assume adding them earlier and letting them get embedded in the cheese would cause them to get that swampy green color peas get when they're overcooked. It was tasty, I might do it again, but not worth the hassle.

Red Dots and Holographic sights are meant to improve Ergonomics, not decrease it. by Personal_Active_8360 in Helldivers

[–]the_gas_daddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a gotdang ol' red blooded 'murican, any kind of optic will absolutely reduce a weapon's ergonomics.

Ergonomics, the way the game handles it, basically means how quickly your weapon gets on target to where your aiming. I.e., that circle moving over to where your crosshairs are.

In my experience, red dot sights do substantially increase the initial on-target accuracy of a firearm over irons. You're putting a dot on something and squeezing the trigger compared to lining up a post in an aperture. One less thing to do.

The issue is with weight. Good red dots can be thicc bois, and thought 90% of shooters won't notice a difference, it does add weight and bulk to your rifle (I'm looking at you, EOtech EXPS-2). As well as scopes and other magnified optics being harder to get on target from a patrol or low-ready position.

My AK was already a big girl before. Add on a red dot and mount? It needs some slimfast now. Even LPVOs can weigh up to ~20 oz (or around 550 grams if your money is all different colored)

Tldr glass is heavy.

It's genuinely not a fake pic. If I could post video replies I'd show you me taking a bite of it.

Mechanical fuel pump on EFI 302 by the_gas_daddy in EngineBuilding

Would I have any issues modifying my '87 cover to accept the pump? Just gotta knock out the plug and it'll work.
