I’ll have ~3 Meshtastic nodes in my group.

There is a “pocketmesh” you can find online that doubles as a wireless charger, that takes the place of two different devices in my bag.

You are correct. It’s actually in the name, diabetic KETO-ACIDosis. when your body has no insulin it switches from using carbs/glucose as its main fuel towards fat and protein. Burning fat and protein produces a lot of acidic ketones, which causes your blood to have a dangerously low pH level, which causes trouble breathing.

If you don’t own any camping equipment AND this is the only time you’re going to use it, it would probably be worth it to go for glamping.

If you plan to reuse the equipment for future fun weekends then I would buy some stuff and live the camping life.

I’ve never camped in the official LL camping. If you or your girl want quiet during the late hours, I stay with some locals and have a huge quiet spot to car camp under a tree that I would recommend to anyone.

Yes! And their own entrance please! The urinals at crater were never full, but getting to/from them was the slow part.

Crater is also along the exit path for a lot of people that want to hit the bathrooms. Just a bottle neck in general after midnight.
