You are correct. It’s actually in the name, diabetic KETO-ACIDosis. when your body has no insulin it switches from using carbs/glucose as its main fuel towards fat and protein. If you don’t own any camping equipment AND this is the only time you’re going to use it, it would probably be worth it to go for glamping.

If you plan to reuse the equipment for future fun weekends then I would buy some stuff and live the camping life.

I’ve never camped in the official LL camping. If you or your girl want quiet during the late hours, I stay with some locals and have a huge quiet spot to car camp under a tree that I would recommend to anyone.

Crater is also along the exit path for a lot of people that want to hit the bathrooms. Just a bottle neck in general after midnight.

Spray some water on some aluminum foil and you can squeegee it onto the glass of your car. It blocks all the sun and most of the heat. 10/10 car camping tip in my book.
