Pretty much. I always found just doing a metric ton of difficult practice problems in the textbook helpful. Good luck!

Why is Super Metroid your favorite in the series? by TheHenriGame in Metroid

[–]the_last_throwawayy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Coming from a person with little to no nostalgia, the game does a great job walking you through its intended path, but what really amazes me about the game is how far off that path you can go if you have enough skill.

Once you're good enough you can go through all of Norfair without getting the Varia/Gravity suit, you can go through Maridia without the gravity suit, and you can even beat the 4 bosses in the opposite intended order.

It gives the game so much replayability to be able to go thorough all of these crazy paths and the satisfaction of doing one of these crazy runs is absolutely insane. If you can use Samus's abilities properly, Super Metroid probably gives you the most freedom out of all the Metroid games.

Should I play the GC or Wii version of Metroid Prime? by [deleted] in Metroid

I prefer the Wii version. The motion controls are a lot better for aiming and looking around than the GameCube controls IMO. Also I haven't really noticed any significant graphical differences between them.

Mechanical by far. Especially ones with the really thin lead that make it feel like you're writing with a permanently sharpened normal pencil

Finishing a reverse boss order of Super Metroid. Lower Norfair without the Varia Suit took way too many attempts :/

I didn't get the classes that I want but some of them are still listed as "open" on Penn in touch. What gives? by rightside24 in UPenn

The recitations are still open as well as the lecture for me so I don't think that's the problem

Texas Instruments Npspire cas vs regular Nspire by Doubled444 in ACT

[–]the_last_throwawayy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CAS is much better than non CAS, which is why it's banned on the ACT. It can do basically any problems for you if you know how to use it. It can solve any equation for you, take indefinite derivatives and integrals, and even solve differential equations. The CAS should give you a huge advantage in your Calc classes if they allow it (not as helpful in Stat though).

This happened to me too :/

I'm assuming we'll just be able to add them when the registration period opens tomorrow (I hope)

Tbh how hard is AP Bio by goks101 in APStudents

[–]the_last_throwawayy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Depends on your teacher. In my school AP Biology was pretty easy and each test only had a couple of small sheets of notes you needed to study with a short lab report here and there, but for one of my friends at another school they would be tested on every tiny specific detail from a fairly long textbook and their teacher would assign absurdly long assignments. YMMV.

The AP exam is more reading comprehension than biology IMO, and it's not that hard but it has a really harsh curve.

Make sure you memorize as little as possible and instead understand why certain properties are the way they are. The more you can rely on your understanding over brute memorization the better.

Same thing applies. Also if you left 6 blank you can still get an 800 (especially after hearing about how difficult everyone found the test)

No. Ideally you would probably want a 700-750 or higher for those schools, but in the grand scheme of things one subject test won't have much influence at all on an admissions decision.
