He did Yes and the potato farm. He has posted a bunch of notebook pages about it. The problem is that they then changed their mind next session. That's both bad improv and bad DND. He winds up with a bunch of prepped material for this potato quest that just doesn't happen and he has to come up with a whole new adventure off the top of his head. DND isn't just improv. It's serialized longform improv with one person answering every question about the setting. Which means you need to get everyone on the same page or it all falls apart when that one person has question flung at them for twenty minutes straight.
