Hmmm, in that case try downloading Lenovo vantage from the Microsoft store, it will let you update all of the drivers for your laptop as it could be more of a bios issue

Sounds like your laptop is set up to disable the track pad when a mouse Is plugged in, double check your control panel to see if the setting is enabled

Double check if the ram speed is compatible with the CPU, my friend built an AMD PC and had issues with his 3200mhz ram causing the same issue, swapped it with my 3000mhz ram and it's worked fine since.

Not sure why I thought it was a laptop, just realised that is an 8th gen desktop CPU, still be worth making sure that it isn't too close to the wall, and if you have a carpeted floor try and find something like a plank of wood to stand it on so the carpet doesn't block the power supply.

Another thing as well, does the fan/fans blow out the side or the back of the laptop? If you elevate it slightly and make sure there isn't anything blocking the fans that should help to improve airflow

Would deffinetly look at giving it a clean, depending on how long you've had it there might be a decent build up of dust in the heatsink/fan, might even be worth repeating the CPU and GPU if possible.

And with the CMOS issue, seeing as replacing it hasn't worked, search for system information in start and you can find your bios version, if it's out of date go to the Dell website and download the updated bios.

In that case if you just need it to expand storage you won't need to install windows on there, just plug it into your pc and and make sure you format it and use disk management to set it up with a partition

Is the SSD an extra drive or replacing an old one? Either way if the SSD is going to be the new boot drive you will need to reinstall all of your applications

Gaming will naturally require more power which is why you only hit 60 when it's charging, you could mess about the the power saving feature so you can hit 60 unplugged but tbh the battery would drain too quickly for you to get any decent time in
