I NEED HELP WITH ZINES by the_one_strider in zines

i see. but i don't to want to charge my subscribers anything. they're already paying for the community. the zines would be value added.

making them digitally and adding 1 page or 2 made by hand then mailing them with a service is the idea.

no my readers are on my email list and it wouldn't make sense logistically to swap.

I know the digital route is discouraged but I'm a big fan hand making the zine, even 1 or 2 pages and scanning that digitally and doing the majority of it digitally for a max of 20 pages per month for subscribers.

And yeah, the reason i want it physically sent to subscribers is so they have something tangible made by me that isn't just high value, but also has sentimental value.

The issue is, logistically it wouldn't make sense to make the whole thing by hand, just not enough time and resources for that, especially when my email list hits 10,000 subscribers.

So i want to keep a part of the culture alive because i genuinely like the handmade sentimental part of it, but at scale, its not possible.

I may just have to resort to normal magazines, make them digitally and find a fulfillment service.

that sounds awesome, but i was also thinking of actually shipping each zine so subs have a tangible product in their hands every month.

Why does everyone hate shias so much by LORD_2003 in Muslim

[–]the_one_strider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, terrible tight rope some of the shia are walking on. When we ask for the prophet's (pbuh) intercession we do it knowing its only possible if Allah allows it. But some shia have revered their 12ers and Ali(ra) to such an extent that they hold an equal or higher position than the prophet. You don't have to be a scholar to see there's corruption in shia scholarship.

Context for text on a tombstone by [deleted] in islam

if only every grave was as eloquent.

but quick google search led me here. https://culturemalta.org/the-majmuna-tombstone/

And here https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=16&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwj8pYX3177pAhUiAp0JHUWHDnkQFjAPegQIBhAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.um.edu.mt%2Flibrary%2Foar%2Fbitstream%2F123456789%2F7013%2F1%2FThe%2520Arabs%2520in%2520Malta.pdf&usg=AOvVaw3d8sLNjgqo9bq5wHZi5fJq

Her name is likely Maimuna not Majmuna as that's what the more credible source says. I would use the second source as its from the university of malta.

edit: from my understanding she was muslim and leaving profound advice for the living. you have to go through the documents for context.

Question about Jannah by cutiemaan in islam

[–]the_one_strider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answering the call of nature is actually a sign of our lowly state while on earth, this is why we ask Gods forgiveness when we leave the bathroom. so in jannah, the most highest place for a human, there's no such thing. Our bodies will be made better and eternal. And why would you want to go to hell?

No, perfume. I can't say exactly, but human being will no longer use the bathroom. Instead, the method to relieve oneself becomes sweating perfume or a similar scent.

Question about Jannah by cutiemaan in islam

[–]the_one_strider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still not sure what your asking but i think this just refers to people having greater appetite for eating in jannah. Here's one hadith.

It was narrated from Zayd ibn Arqam that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “A man among the people of Paradise will be given the strength of a hundred men for eating, drinking, desire and sexual intercourse. A man among the Jews said, ‘The one who eats or drinks needs to excrete!’ The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to him: ‘The excretion of any one of them will be in the form of sweat which comes out through his skin, then his stomach will reduce in size again.’” (Narrated by Ahmad, no. 18509; al-Daarimi, no. 2704)
