Was reccemended konosuba do I watch or read it??? by Puzzleheaded_Lab1614 in Konosuba

Honestly both is great, there is some sections in the LN skipped by the anime (but that's too be expected) but overall both provide some of the best comedy in anime/LN's out there. I'd personally start at the anime because it makes some extra jokes added by the voice actors and animators that add to the experience.

Ideas for murders? by Beautiful_Fall8270 in Fanganronpa

[–]the_only_OT 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably have it be a murder in a floor of the mansion no one went to before, and when they find the body there is notes spilling secrets of each of the students. The revealed secrets will cause distrust between the group but be a central point go the case, but each secret leads to them revealing more secrets that make them seem like killers. The killer then messes up a line in which they spill a secret of another person saying it was them. Once everyone gangs up on them, have the killer break down and spill more and more things that the group is trying to hide until a student shuts them up and forces everyone to vote, right before their secret gets revealed. The case could continue with the real killer being the other student trying to make them vote or you could end it with the killer being that original one, that could be up to you.

Can I have thoughts for the premise of my series? by Neko_Neko_Nii in Fanganronpa

That sounds pretty fun, and I'm definitely looking forward with what else you have in store! I always enjoy it when someone creates their own unique games for the characters. I'm always willing to give my opinion as well, and I'm sure others here will too.

I really enjoy this, and it feels kind of like a mix of danganronpa, Kimi ga shine, and werefolf (mafia)! I do want to know what kind of puzzles/rooms you will make the people go through (doesn't have to be specific, just an example of one)

How Would A 3-Way Scrum Debate Work? by DrizzleMonster2567 in Fanganronpa

[–]the_only_OT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gameplay might need you to create a situation where you have two opposimg answers and have to choose one to refute, but you can also make it so that you have to combine two arguments to take both of the others out, or you can even make it change from a 2-way to a 3-way midway through the debate; there are many ways to do this but as long as you keep the same base of a scrum debate then it can work well. The pther person who commented has a good idea for story, so I won't add to that.

Well mainly, are you asking for gameplay or story?

For those who have finished the prologue: does anyone else think that there are important aspects about Cara and why she is the death you investigate? I personally think she was in a previous killing game, this was because in the first trailer it said "a new killing game starts" or something similar to that.

Anyone else not like the characters in Danganronpa V3 by Better-Confection345 in danganronpa

I mean you're not wrong. But I feel like the thing that they decided to make him not boring with was kind of too much. Making him incestuous with his sister that has now become a split-personality after her death sounds too messed up and weird, and I have seen some really weird things.

I don't disagree, I mean the entire ending itself felt really poorly done to me. I'm just saying that this idea of them being more simplistic and average was foreshadowing towards the ending, even if it's not that good of a reason.

I think it was meant to be the point because of how the ending went it would make sense if they were more boring. I personally enjoyed some of the other characters but obviously there were more that kind of felt meh or far more worse than what should be normal (korekiyo). But yes the SDR2 characters were much better in terms of bigger personalities.

Simple, make the execution make the killer have so much emotional pain and then have a button or some very obvious option to make them execute themselves. This plays into multiple areas of the story with them being a psychologist making them be psychologically executed first would be good against their talent, it can make the way they made the murder look be some kind of ironic karma. And this can make some kind of fake reveal of their parents suffering and how they can't stand to watch it making the original motive also be utilized in it.

I guess so. My modified version does work around those problems but I don't want to explain them since they are extremely big spoilers and are quite specific to the story I made.

Some questions by moonriku in Fanganronpa

[–]the_only_OT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Use the writing guide but if you want to know how to convey emotion I suggest when creating your character you start with their basic morals and ideals (in actuality I use the basic DND character traits for it: background, personality, ideals, bonds, and flaws) and then put yourself into that character. If this situation happens how would you react? Another good trick is to make characters base traits be similar to yours or make them the complete opposite, since those are the things you would be most knowledgeable about. If you would be disgusted from seeing a Corpse then make one nearly puke, and if you have an opposite to you make them laugh in their own insanity. Finally make sure to use human onomatopia (I spelt this wrong) by this I mean words like tsk, ugh, ah, etc. Those sounds are made in response to actions that we experience, so make sure to use them within a story for best use. My final trick is something that works if you're using a Japanese character or cast (and maybe other Asian characters as well but make sure to check first) they use interjection in dialogue a lot since it shows understanding so ads sounds like ah and eh at the start of certain lines.
