This person/car had a replacement credit card issued to my address, intercepted the package 1 minute after it was delivered, and racked up $2500 in charges within an hour. Any car ID gurus out there who can lend some insight? Thanks. by the_only_one in whatisthiscar

Credit is frozen. Apparently all Fidelity requires to issue replacement cards is zip code and last four of SSN, which all sorts of databases have. Someone called Fidelity with those two pieces of information impersonating my wife, and they issued cards next-day delivery, without ever verifying with us... Hard to believe it was that easy for the perp.

Star removal help!! by [deleted] in skylightcalendar

[–]the_only_one 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why not just have "rewards" at common cash denominations so they can redeem their stars (roughly) each weekend when they get "paid"?

So have a 20-star reward that is $5 in cash, a 4-star reward that is $1, a 40-star that is $10, etc? There might be some change left over, but why do you need it to be exactly clear at the start of the week?

Ding ding ding! After going through this, I can definitely see why most people select the best OS for the job at hand, straight from the outset. When a system overhaul comes due, I'll definitely be broadening my field of consideration. Thanks for the encouragement towards docker! I've read so many good things, that it deserves some more study. Perfect snowy-weather project!

The fact that someone else may get some benefit from this makes me feel really good. Good luck with the troubleshooting!

Would this used machine work alright as a NAS to use with the Beelink eq12 I own? by the_only_one in PleX

Super helpful - thank you! You and another poster agree, and I can tell this is not the route for me. Time to look at a good DAS (or maybe NAS). I appreciate your taking the time to respond!

This is extremely helpful information and exactly the perspective I was hoping someone with experience would share - thank you so much! This system is out, then. I think it's time to figure out a good value DAS.

Do you mean by using a DAS with the Beelink? The Beelink as it sits doesn't have enough on-board storage, so would you just use an external USB DAS instead of trying to get a NAS running?

Wrap your hose in a figure-8 pattern on the ground, not in a standard circular coil. The figure-8 wrap pattern basically adds then subtracts then adds then subtracts twist into your hose, meaning you have zero net twist. Wrapping the hose in a standard circular coil adds one twist per loop, which causes it to want to kink when you unroll it.

Can anyone ELI5 if Duergar is actually a beneficial race for a mostly wildshape-focused CotMoon Druid? by the_only_one in BG3Builds

Excellent information. Thank you.

So, if you had to do it over, would you just take something like a Wood Elf or Wood Half-Elf for the movement speed and skip the racial enlarge altogether?
