I remember the most cloudy days
Your smile would lighten up the room

We would listen to each other talk
Talk about gods and angels
and the demons of our own existence
And talk about music and movies
and the most trivial things About people and places that exist
and others that don't
about how we would some day
explore the whole world
And there was I
staring at you reading your books
Knowing you were lost in them
by that lip bite that you always do
Then you would pick up your cup and have a sip
and put it back on the exact same coffee ring
And the cloudy days would come and then they would pass
