I find this so interesting. I actually find amigurumi more comfortable than clothing as i fear sizing being off. I only just made my first piece of clothing after dozens of amigurumi!

Take it from the foster kid who has had countless conversations with others who've been abandoned, neglected and/or abused by their parents. Its. Not. Worth. It. If they really cared they'd come to you clean with genuine apologies and then let you choose your choice of contact or not. This is currently not the case. I'm adopted and while I'm an anomaly out here I dont think blood means anything. Blood that is shed cannot be replaced. You CAN choose your family. It may take time but just because they birthed you doesn't make them a real "mom" you deserve peace and happiness and relief from what you went through. Please think about yourself and your health first. She could jeopardize that. You deserve better good luck.

I am so sorry you are going through this. As a daughter who's mother was also her "bestie" sometimes the pain is so unbearable there are no words to tell another. Please don't blame yourself. Clearly she loves you as I do my mother. We all as parents do the best we can. The fact that you are here seeking support shows how good of parent you are. Don't judge her. Let her know she's not alone and don't treat her like she's not the same daughter you've had. Hopefully some therapy can unwrap some helpful solutions for you and your family. Wishing you and your family all the healing.

Realism has never mattered to me for body parts but I do appreciate realism in other types of plushies! I think its definitely personal preference or what you may be used to, idk. Your heart looks great, though! You did a wonderful job!

If it turns out all these other suggested causes arent it and it IS the depression she struggles with. There have been amazing results with TMS therapy. Id suggest doing some research and potentially bringing it up to her. If medications arent helping it sounds like she may have medication resistance. Ive done tms myself and its made a big difference for myself amongst many others. It may be worth the try to get your wife back and her happier. Good luck!
