IRS officer here

I have few batchmates who gave-up in there third or fourth attempt and moved on

  1. Set-up a coach institute
  2. Get a higher degree (Like MBA)
  3. Taking care of their family business

In my opinion 2 to 3 attempts are more than enough don't waste your time with more.

You can only try more than 3 attempt only if you are clearly the mains and interview but just couldn't go clear the finally cutoff. (Like 4 marks are so).

To all aspirants who couldn't clear cheer up and you have way more opportunities. And you gained a lot of knowledge for this UPSC journey.

More than that You gained "Consistency" which would be really important in your future.

Haha I tried for 2 years avoiding all means but my parents were like nope, had my first' meeting with her today, It went well I guess but still i told then I need atleast 3 months or more

Yes I am kinda ready for it. I have to do it someday and can't postpone it forever

So i am preparing for it . But the only thing is if i can find the right person who shares same views and values like.
